Dear all,

I am planning to buy some Ripple. Apart from hardware wallets can someone give some advise on the use of good desktop or cold storage wallet for Ripple. There is a general topic about wallets but these wallets primarily are for bitcoins

Many thanks for all your suggestions

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Exodus Desktop wallet now supports Ripple and about 11169 other crypto currencies. It can also store a lot of ERC20 tokens.

For fully Secure Cold Storage Support I recommend the Ledger Wallet Nano Blue which Can protect your Ripple, Bitcoins, Monero and your other Crypto Assets:

Ledger Blue is the most advanced hardware security gear on the market. It boasts multi application execution, and packs enterprise-level crypto-capabilities into a lightweight handheld device designed and crafted in France. It is architected around a Secure Element, featuring a touchscreen and USB & Bluetooth* connectivity.

Thank you very much for the suggestion.

Funny thing is that I already have Exodus installed, but did not find ripple in the list of available currencies. Did some further checking on found out from the Exodus roadmap that it's still in Beta phase. Anyone else have some experience in Ripple desktop wallets ?
