Hi learned folk on bitcointalk,

I have just taken delivery of a Beaglebone Black and a LOGI-BONE FPGA development Board Cape.
The reason being, I really want to learn  the whole process of how Crypo Hardware gets off the ground.
It seems to me that a valid and relatively inexpensive path would be from FPGA to ASIC.

There is a sample FPGA program for a BTC miner that is highlighted on the LOGI-BONE website.
Has anybody had any experience with this?

If nothing else it is a project for the coming Holidays.

Can anyone provide pointers or suggestions of good places to start or possible pit-falls along the journey?
I promise to share any insights or discoveries myself if I get anywhere with this.

Many Thanks
