Installation:
1. Download wallet: https://bitcoingold.org/downloads/
2. Check your address: File -> Receiving address
Now you can start mining to this address
How to set up miner: https://btg.2miners.com/#/help
3. Make backup in case of: File -> Backup wallet
4. Find your private key: Help -> Debug window -> Console
dumpprivkey your_Receiving_address
Save it somewhere

Synchronization:
1. Create a shotcut to bitcoin-qt.exe with -bootstrap option
2. Add Bitcoin Core nodes (Not Bitcoin Gold as they are OVERLOADED).
Take nodes from here: https://bitnodes.earn.com/
Add port 8333 at the end of each node.
For example 92.255.91.146:8333
Help -> Debug window -> Console
addnode 92.255.91.146:8333 add
etc. If you have Bitcoin Core wallet:
Start it. Check you IP (which was specified by your router for example 192.168.1.50).
Add it through Help -> Debug window -> Console
addnode 192.168.1.50:8333 add
3. Sync till block 491407.
4. Close Bitcoin Gold wallet.
5. Start it without the -bootstrap option.
6. Add Bitcoin Gold nodes.
Or just save bitcoin.conf to the installation folder of your Bitcoin Gold.

P.S. Welcome to https://btg.2miners.com/ Bitcoin Mining Pool.
It is on the correct chain. Blocks have already been found. Everything works perfect for the whole day.

wow is that ever fast!  I used the bitcoin.conf method and headers synced to 99.4 % in about 30 seconds. I had this open for an hour before and it did not update at all.
Awesome tip!!  Grin

FIRST
make a text file called bitcoin.conf that has all the nodes (from the second post above)
save this bitcoin.conf file in the same directory the wallet is installed in

THEN

hold shift and right click in empty area of file explorer (where the bitcoin-qt.exe file is) and choose 'open command window here'

this will open a command line (black dos window)

type in bitcoin-qt.exe -bootstrap

this will open the wallet

Something is not working can anyone help ? First if I try to start it with -bootstrap , it cannot be done.

https://gyazo.com/00c532f4d77cf93095357e7354f4ed3b

Second I somehow managed to run bitcoinwallet (maybe without the bootstrap method) it just ran. Through console if I write addnode XXX.XX.XX.XXX:8338 add      (for example ) I get response NULL from console . Is this right ?

Thanks in advance.

Hello, So is the correct port 8333 at the end of each node or 8338 even if the Synchronization is complete.  Plus if I entered this at ...Help -> Debug window -> Console
addnode xxx.xxx.x.x:8333 add  should I change it to 8338?  Thanks
