i think whenever bitcoin rise to fast and its value reach to the new record, bitcoin is suddenly famous to the world, because they can reallize, bitcoin can make them become millonaire with small investments, so the more bitcoin become famous, the higher the number of bitcoin community participants.

Theoretically, it should be a good thing to see a growing interest in bitcoin, but to be honest, most of those who are approaching today are people only interested in taking out some extra money through bitcoin speculation, and very few of them are really looking for an alternative to the current banking economic system.
