I just watched episode 2,  season 6 of Arrow and i thought that i'm glad i knew what they ware talking about wahaha

But then in the episode,  it was used by a Russian gangster who is exiled from his country and is in hiding in the US,  so to keep his movements discrete, instead od using cold cash or credit cards,  he used crypto for anonimity.  Hmm, not so good depicting crypto in that angle.

Anyway,  the resident nerds said the crypto transactions are virtually untraceable to mere mortals but not to them. How true that sone gifted human beings have the power to trace crypto transactions?

Can crypto transactions really be traced as to the actual place the sender is in? Coz that's what they did in the show, they were able to figure out the exact location of the villains

They mention bitcoin a ton in Blindspot as well, mostly as a shady way for criminals to move funds around.

Are there trying to discredit cryptocurrencies? Cuz I don't understand why they always associate it with crime

I think it's the only thing they know about cryptocurrencies,  unfortunately
