Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

Right now there is not much you can do to safeguard your account, other than changing your email password. Not your Electroneum password, but your EMAIL password. Once the security issues are sorted out, the team will make the coins available for transfer. They will only allow the person who controls the email address to receive the coins associated with that email address. If your email account is then hacked, the hacker will be able to steal your coins.

So make sure you change your EMAIL password to something secure and unpredictable.

Misleading title.

Not the ETN-Accounts were hacked! The Email accounts which were used to register were hacked.
If your email shows up here https://haveibeenpwned.com/ , you should rather change all of your passwords, but most importantly your EMAIL password.
