When the problem is solved, it is not known, but the DEV seems to be working on it.

If you like MAG, go mining others profitable coin with your GPU and sell it in Coinexchange and buy MAG there

I don't think those numbers are correct with staking, also at 8500 MAG you should just go ahead and buy the addition 1500 and
get a masternode at 10k Mag.

With a masternode after you set it up following guides in discord you will be making on average ~85 Mag per day. Good luck

The calculation is 8500 * 7% annual returns from staking (595 mag) so a rate of 1.6 MAG daily.
The formula uses coin-day unit so it is almost a guaranteed return despite the PoS mining randomness as each day without win adds a multiplier (up to 48 days).
I would however agree that for a 1.5K additional investment, a masternode would produce greater returns on that amount.

We have now updated the wallets to 1.3.0. This is a major MANDATORY update, please read attentively.

IMPORTANT NOTES
As voted by our community on Discord (join fork_voting channel to see results), we are implementing a hard fork at block 145000 (in about 7 days) to address masternode payments. It is highly recommended that you update your wallets, node and masternode software now to prevent any issue and service interruption.

SECLUDED BLOCK PAYMENTS
From height 145000, the consensus will verify that Proof-of-Work blocks include at least 2 outputs of which one pays for 50% of total outputs (a tolerance of 1 CENT is allowed either way). The maximum amount rewarded is still determined through previous consensus rules.
Any block not adhering to the above new rule will only be accepted if the total output amount does not exceed 25% of the current Proof-of-Work maximum reward. This allows secluded Proof-of-Work miners (no connection to masternodes) to still broadcast blocks but will prevent the unfair advantage of collecting the entire coinbase reward while also incentivizing them to work with masternodes and maximize their mutual profits (X2).
Additionally, for preparing the work on our blockchain-based solution (payment enforcement through smart contracts), we added an option which allows a node to gather depth data statistics on payments when enabled.
