The BTC price will be rising into the CME launch and beyond. This should boost it to $10K in January
hopefully. The launch is before the slow holiday period so maybe the full effect will be seen in
January.

Do you know if you can also short BTC there and is it executed in real BTC or is it just in another futures contract?

I think we'll see btc hit $10k easily in the next few months. What we've seen so far is only the beginning.

We have only seen the beggining, but you should think that it will just be added in a few months from now, a lot of people are saying that it is going to be listed on there in just a few months (january, december, march, as an example) and this is false, they need at least six - eight months in order to list them and publish them in there.
So it will take a few months in order to see it, but of course that it if happens, then the price of bitcoin will go up so quickly, and everybody knows that it is probably going to happen soon.
Maybe we are going to see bitcoin over eight thousand dollars, who knows?

Even though they mentioned Q4 of this year, I think that is very ambitious and would be surprised if it were this soon. More realistically I would anticipate Q1 or even Q2 of 2018.
