I’m currently unable to transact from my Armory wallets.
I'd like to know whether the issue is a quirk of the particular system I have running.

Due to unfortunate circumstances I currently have the full blockchain loaded on a sluggish old Windows 10 laptop.
-Bitcoin Core version v0.15.0 (64-bit)
-Armory Bitcoin Wallet : Version 0.96-beta-a3d01aa722

Armory does not seem to function properly, so I have been attempting to ‘trick’ the software into connecting via this process:

   1.   Run Bitcoin Core until the blockchain is 100% up to date.
   2.   Close this, and allow it to shut down fully.
   3.   Run Armory.
   4.   Wait a long time for the following processes to complete:
  • Loading Database Headers
  • Building Databases
  • Organising Blockchain
  • Scan Transaction History
  • Parsing Tx Hashes
  • (Often, ArmoryDB.exe freezes entirely or crashes here).
   5.   If I make it this far, Armory will change from ‘Offline’ to ‘Connected (480268 blocks)’.
   6.   Attempt to make a transaction.
   7.   Stare blankly at an “Invalid passphrase : That passphrase is not correct!” error message.
   8.   Refrain from thinking bad thoughts. Retry every single password combination that may or may not ever have crossed my stream of consciousness.
   9.   Close and repeat.

Questions:
⁃   Should the above method work (assuming the passphrase were indeed correct)?
⁃   Could Armory actually be offline (despite indicating otherwise)?

The funds are still present. No new transactions have been made since I last purchased something six months or so ago. While I do not recall ever changing my passphrases, I am of course concerned that by some mistake / my own stupidity, these coins may now be irretrievable.

I have been re-downloading the blockchain onto a second laptop’s external drive for a few weeks (86.89%)…
OS X (“High Sierra Version 10.13.1”)
-Bitcoin Core version v0.15.0.1 (64-bit)
-Armory Bitcoin Wallet : Version 0.96.3.99-beta-1c7f3e91df

Question:
⁃   Am I wrong to think that this particular version of Bitcoin Core and Armory will work together on OS X 10.13.1 ?

Thank you for taking the time to read this. Please be gentle! Embarrassed Huh

Whoever mines the block which ends up containing your transaction will get its fee.

You need 0.96.4 RC1 (aka 0.96.3.99) in order for Armory to work with Core 0.15.
