I'm not sure if this is true or if we are in the same boat, but I saw this posted in another thread about missing coins

10.399 bitcoins of mine disappeared too. I had two factor authentication on as well. They were sent to an external account even before the receipt of the coins had switch from pending to complete. Here's a screen shot,

This is exactly what happened to me. I have been able to hear back from Coinbase and they have been extremely helpful, here is the latest news I received:

We've now discovered that this is a software bug, and that your bitcoin was not stolen. However, we're still trying to figure out how this happened. Thanks for bearing with us while we figure this out!

I was beginning to think it's a software flaw since the transaction details were the same for our accounts.

I'm amazed this could happen. Although, every time I login, I see the word "beta" next to the Coinbase logo. Still, it's no excuse. A bank doesn't "lose" your Monday.

So much trust has been lost here. They had better make this better by Monday.

Until I get the ok signal from Coinbase I'm still worried, but this does give me a glimmer of hope.

Stephen Gornick, I wanted to thank you for your help here. Your expertise helped me understand this situation a lot more, and even though you didn't have to you helped. Thank you!

I have still not received any of my "lost" BTC back, but at least Coinbase has reached out to me. This is the email they sent.

"I'm very sorry for the trouble! I've examined this and it appears to be a software bug - we can guarantee that you will get your bitcoin back in full. I have a couple quick questions that will help us figure out how this happened. First, I'm wondering where the incoming transaction of 7.13310828 bitcoin was sent from. Also, I noticed you used this bitcoin address over time to send multiple transactions. Do you remember how you originally generated it? (through the web app, mobile app, etc). Or if you saved the public address anywhere? Not that this should matter, but may provide a clue to help us track it down. Thank you so much for helping us while we fix this error - again, my apologies for any undue stress this may have caused you!"

So they promise I'll get them back. Now I just wait...

As my final update, I'm happy to report I got my BTC back.

They sent me 7.25 BTC to replace the lost 7.13310828 BTC.

Excellent customer service. I just wish something like this had never happened in the first place.

Hopefully DanzoFriend is being taken care of accordingly as well.

I had an issue with Coinbase a while back but they were quick to take care of it and did so to my satisfaction.

They sent me the same email that you did, and yes they credited my account with the full amount plus a little extra like they did for you too.

God damn that was scary.

Something like this is happening to me now.  I have missing bitcoins and transactions, and paper wallets I downloaded not working!  I am still confident everything will be cleared up soon, but right now I don't even have access to any bit coins so it is very strange!

Same Here I sold some last friday, they took the bit coin out of my account, and then took the transaction record out of my account, and it is almost a week and no deposit into my account, and no response from coin base? not even a real person, only auto responders!

Guys, why are you using online wallets? You're risking of site owner's scam, risking site owner didn't do a backup etc etc
An exeption is blockchain.info which keeps keys on your hardrive. It means that you are responsible for safety of your account.
Would you trust someone with heavy duty wallet packed with tons of BTC? No? So treat your small amount of BTC the same to be safe.

I've got a very similar situation here as well, except I did get an email notification.

For those that contacted coinbase support, how long did it take for them to respond? It has been 2 days since I've sent my email to them and I haven't heard anything back.

Olaf are you still around? I'm unable to send a message to you directly as my account doesn't allow it yet.

Here is how my transaction looks like: https://i.imgur.com/SCk33ii.jpg

I am starting to get worried.
