Try reading what we have been telling you! You said "Nobody can transact". Have you tried moving coins to another wallet, or buying coins or selling coins at an exchange? Works perfectly. If you don't pay attention we can't help you.

my wallet does not sync and obviously the blockexplorers neither. So has there been a hardfork or what? Try talking clear english straight forward. Thanks.

Okay, let's start with clear English. Your spelling and sentence structure are incorrect!  Smiley

I have a number of Megacoin wallets, and all of them sync just fine. Is the machine you are trying to sync connected to the Internet? Did you allow the MegacoinQT client access through the firewall? Are you buying or selling from an exchange? Please read the previous posts again if you can't figure it out...

If I install a new wallet, it downloads the blockchain at blazing speed. If I send coins to another wallet, or exchange, it is also lightning fast. Not sure what you are doing wrong? I would suggest asking one of your friends that is better informed to help you.

Was able to sync briefly. Now 1 hour no new block on the network. Is megacoin attacked or did something brake down?
The blockexplorer shows clearly blocks aren't produced at normal speed. https://bitinfocharts.com/de/megacoin/explorer/

There are bursts of blocks  and hour long delays in between. I guess we need an update, huh?

Don't play dumb btw as if everything was fine. It's not. Anyone can read the bloody explorer.

Second one:
https://coinplorer.com/MEC

I hope we'll hear from devteam soon.

if you read my posts I did say the KGW has been dealing with a nearly constant 51% attack. I'm not sure if this is due to multipools alone, because they are not getting many blocks, or coins (I said this previously in response to your post). I don't know how much more clearly I can say it! I also said it is not affecting the integrity of the blockchain. Wallet to wallet transfers, and new wallets are working just fine. Yes, obviously this needs to be addressed, but if you paid any attention you would know 800gh/s is not normal for our network hash rate. Someone is wasting a lot of energy and getting almost nothing for it. The longer they keep it up, the more sure I am that Megacoin's price will go higher. Demand is outstripping availability, and the source of this hash rate is actually doing us a favor by making Megacoin more rare at their expense.  Grin

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Very large multi-coin mining pools have been moving in and picking off easy (low-difficulty) profitable MEC blocks.  As they do that, KGW ultimately retargets at a much higher difficulty, causing the mining pools to move on to a different coin.  You could definitely call that an 'attack' on the coin, but each time it is mitigated by KGW.  Unfortunately when the big pools move on to something more profitable, the difficulty is left much higher than normal, and it can take quite a bit of time before you see the next block solved.  Once that happens however, KGW then drops the difficulty drastically and at the moment the entire process repeats itself.  Big mining pools detect the new low difficulty and move back in.

I see. Txs get confirmed though after some waiting so it's still functional.
I'd suggest to rent some hash and put on your miners and put it on the coin to mitigate the effect of the poolhoppers!
Maybe drive up the base hash a little so we get more evenly blocks?
Put more base-hash on it, guys to combat that shit.

I don't think you understand how massive this attack is. 700 to 800gh/s is approximately 160 to 200 times our normal hash rate. It would be quite expensive to match. Better to let them take the loss, and wait for the fix. As I said, it is only driving up demand, and price.

The network is working fine, it's just taking longer to adjust, depending on the size of the hash rate/difficulty change.  Currently 825gh/s

Yep, as these hash monsters are wasting their time and energy, btc38 is still running the show as expected, moving hundreds of thousands of MEC per day:

http://btc38.com/trade.html?btc38_trade_coin_name=mec

You can see all of the inexpensive MEC getting sucked up by some big buys, and sell orders > 0.20 yuan appear to be much smaller quantities, leading one to speculate that the price could quickly and easily move upwards.

When you're talking this much MEC changing hands per day, 800 GH/s moving in to only to make a few 25-MEC block rewards looks very foolish  Smiley

Reposting from the old forum as I want your guys opinions.
- I revamped the facebook page yesterday to give us a fresh new look. I have also been thinking and I don't think the marketing fund is that essential. How about we just use social media to do the bulk of our marketing? Then that allows us to put the marketing fund towards development and development is marketing in itself. If you have a good product you shouldn't have to market it.
Thoughts?

Facebook page looks great.

I also completely agree that the funding should be used for development purposes.  Good development will easily pay for itself and replenish the fund down the road.

ja fresh look of facebook is cool, old was cool too. and yes we need more support/tweets/likes/miners. marketing is very important.

just noticed that the main workers have only 110 mhs hashrate on 2 pools, not enough at marketcap 800k dollars.

https://hamsterpool.com/index.php?page=statistics&action=pool&coin=mec

http://mega.minepool.net/

---------------

all other pools are multipools to rip off megacoin, even ghash.io.

and it seems that some ltc pools switch their hashrate over and not telling their users. all multis i could find have together ~ 250 ghs, that can´t explain hashrates of 650 ghs up to 1.5 ths.

----------------

said this several times in our mec forum that we should go to this exchange https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/ - there are mining pools, too.

I can help get the next block solved, but honestly I don't see the point, due to these monster pools that will insta-rape the next 500 blocks, dump the coins on an exchange, and leave the difficulty high and dry  Undecided  (Sorry for the poor choice of words..)

A few posts to consider, when you have a moment:

These are looking like things that may need to be addressed in the very near future, somehow even if by magic.  Smiley
