Shapeshift adds coins based on volume from BITTREX.....Maybe you should start buying now if you want shapeshift so badly.

I would be more concerned about MEC mining pools. Shapeshift is the only exchange I use these days, so I guess you could say it's a Catch-22.

I'm happy to chuck a few machines onto Megacoin.. I have a mixed mining setup here in Oz running in one of my solar farms.. can anyone recommend a decent and stable pool? what about a solo pool recommendation.. I'm happy to leave a node and a miner or two running in support of the various coins..

I think people tend to forget that MEC is several years old now, and has been trading solid volume on btc38.com during that time, whereas MEC is new to bittrex of course.  As MEC's new developers cgminer-o and nbk continue their efforts, I think you'll see renewed interest in the coin.  In my opinion, I think it's great that with 31.3 million coins in circulation, that the trading price is just a few cents, this creates a favorable entry point for traders.

The trading trend is on an upswing, sosobtc has one of the best btc38.com MEC trading charts out there.  Chinese love MEC and typically dictate the price, it'll be very interesting to see how bittrex influences it.  I'll totally admit, I didn't think I would see MEC trading 60+ btc on bittrex this soon.  I didn't expect that until after cgminer-o and nbk release MEC updates.
