miner buddy of mine brought this to my attention, had to do a little research on it as he didn't say much about it, but from the looks of what it says its pretty darn neat and could possibly be of some use to us miners. so I have chosen to share it with everyone here

I've purchased a bunch of other thing from ITead in the past, and even had them do some circuit boards for me, and they do good work.  It's also based on the ESP8266, so there's a ton of custom firmware that people have made:

The biggest downside I see with this is just having to cut up power cables to put it inline, it would be nice if they offered something like that - but if they did they probably wouldn't be using the type of cables we need.  Great option for making a pretty advanced DIY PDU.

could be used in conjunction with a pdu, I use a metered pdu but sometimes I do wish I knew individual stats as far as wattage/power measurement for my rigs

16A is for 220V I guess? On one of the photos on the website the inside of this sonoff even says 10A.
Aside from that the device looks very useful for us. And the price is better than that of analogues on aliexpress.

I use their S20 socket switch reflashed for MQQT and that controls my rig resetting duties, would love to have power consumtion included aas i currently always buy the Corsair 1200i versions just for the power software

Would like to see something similar in ethernet version, and also being able to script-query the infos and remote control it for monitoring and automated restart and such, i use TPLink smart plug because they're scriptable (with a hack) but i would definitely like a cheaper alternative especially an ethernet one

After a bit of research, there is a product that seems better from this manufacturer the Sonoff S20 is a real plug that can be monitored and remote controlled, thanks to alternative firmwares like https://github.com/arendst/Sonoff-Tasmota, it's also compatible with the Sonoff Pow. I like the idea because it's 1/3 of the price of the TP-link i use. Will try to source some and play a bit  

The moisture and temperature sensors could be useful to manage more efficiently your airflow and some other devices you have.

I am the mining buddy crypto mentioned... I purchased the program from amazon already.  Just don't have time to play with it yet (had the header pins from a previous project and just need to solder them on).  Currently using one with my xmas tree and google home and I just say "ok google" turn on the dam tree and it repeats it back.  Kids love it!  Something to play with over the holidays for sure.  If i was going to use it full time for a 2400w server psu (240v), i would pull it out of the plastic case and use a separate approved electrical box.  I would think getting 12awg stranded wire to fit would be impossible without making some solid 12 AWG pigtails to splice the cut power cord to.

nah on 240 psus shouldn't pull anymore than 8amps 10 at MAX 18awg should be just fine

The interesting thing here is when you're building out something, there's really no need to use a PDU at all - you could just wire up your own with a couple of these in series from the feeder power source, just make sure to pay attention to wire gauge, etc.  Assuming you were doing 208-240v 30a breakers, you could easily do a couple of these per and have individual monitoring/control.

The S20 doesn't have power monitoring, just power control - plus the plug isn't really the kind you'd use for larger rigs, just for things running on normal outlets.

I'm torn about using a Cat-5 version or not - since this is per plug, the cost of switches and all the wiring nightmare it would cause with larger installs would be a bit of a PIA.  I made my own Temperature/Humidity monitor with the ESP8266 a year or so ago, and it's surprisingly stable and reliable for being such a cheap component.
