UPDATE:
Hello,
I sent 0.4 BTC from my coinbase account to my BCC Bittrex account address and hoping that they will be able to help me recover it or credit me in my bitcoin wallet. There is nothing I can do since I dont have the private key and now I am really hoping they will be able to help me here.
The transaction was completed and now the BTC should be on my BCC wallet by nothing will show and I am really frustrated.
I will keep you guys posted on my first experience with Bittrex customer support.

Timeline:
-11/11/2017: Bittrex ticket opened on Saturday October 11th 2017 at 23:25
-11/12/2017: Still waiting for an update (Not sure if customer service work on the weekends)
-11/13/2017: 12:16PM Still no Initial email from Bittrex support..
-11/14/2017: heard nothing from them and open 3 more tickets on different queues.
-11/14/2017: Got a reply saying that there is nothing they can do and that I pretty much need to fuck myself!!! $2863 is gone but I will not stop here
here is their reply:
"
From: Awais Raza

The coins transmitted in this transaction were BTC (Bitcoin). The address that these coins were sent to is a BCC (Bitcoin Cash) address. These are separate blockchains. When sending coins you cannot send coins to another block chains address. This falls under the Bittrex Crosschain Recovery Policy.

Please see the following article for the Crosschain Recovery Policy.

https://bittrex.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000961172

Please make sure to only send coins to the address generated for them in the future. BTC to BTC, BCC to BCC.

Thank you,

Awais @ Bittrex

Anyone have any recommendation about how to proceed with arbitration or should I just get  lawyer?

Thanks!

They are right bittrex can't do anything about it. you sent BTC to a BCC address and you are accusing bittrex for not crediting your account ? BTC and BCC are separated chains it's like sending ETH to a DOGE address you just can't do it. what does bittrex have to do with this ?
i don't want to be rude here but you are dumb!

I made the mistake of not doublechecking the address but you can get your BTC back if you have the private key. if they really cant do anything about it, how come they can do something if the involved amount is $5000 or more?
the wallet is sjowing the credit and they are the only one who can make a transfer from the BTC to the BCC and again, this is possible. (some other exchanges do that)
The BTC and BCC keys are also the same and it is possible to do a crosschain recovery. @warden, do some research and you will see Smiley
