Hello Polytimos community! I come to announce to you today, the new polytimos specific forums, and also the announcement of the pre-alpha service we are launching called PolyShield, which will be a MasterNode hosting and sharing service provided by the creator team of Polytimos.

Idea of PolyShield is to help support price of Poly, while at the same time helping users who cannot afford masternodes themselves pool together with others to get a masternode. Then not have to configure anything themselves, and take part in the payouts of that masternode.

Information is posted on new poly forums under services and announcements. There is a special private section for the pre-alpha users which can be added to the group upon interest being made known to myself that they would like to join.

Forums have a global chat, reputation system, upvote/downvote/flagging system, and much more, and more can and will be added, we are looking into a bitcoin tip bot that we can modify to use Poly so that users can tip each other with poly within the system. There is a section for users to setup their own blogs and write how-tos and such, and will be adding downloads section and more soon. This is the alpha of the forums as well as the alpha of the PolyShield MasterNode Hosting/sharing service.

As promised, first service and forums for poly have been done. We continue to uphold our promises to the community, to gain trust and let them know we are not just here for short term. Which should also have been seen by the no premine no ICO launch. This project to us means something, it is not just another coin to enrich the starting team, it is something for the community to help everyone gain access to services, and have a long term store of value that will later give a nice set percentage with staking, and implemented masternodes of its own.

Basically, poly is here to stay, and so are we, this will be continually proven to all.

Is poly going to have masternodes? I hope they do as it's the new buzz thing at the moment

Do you have a reason why you think masternodes will be inherently valuable to POLY, or do you want to include it just because it's the "buzz"?  We should focus on value, not buzz.  This shouldn't be a pump&dump coin, this is a no-premine-new-algo coin that has real services to offer.

But to answer you, devs said they may implement masternodes when PoW ends.  That might be a while though.

Virus Total detects Trojans in the miners linked in this thread. Is this coin safe to mine?

I know a low of virus detection software will alarm for any sort of Miner, but a few say Trojan and you can't be too careful these days.  The sgminer-polytimus in the main post gives a pretty high number of detections

ANNOUNCEMENT - TWITTER 'ORGANIC' CAMPAIGN "#POLYwannaCrypto?" - get paid POLY to post on twitter

This campaign is to grow the project organically. This campaign is nothing to do with promoting a single twitter account, but instead to promote joining a 'organically grown' type crypto project, contribute, and make it your own.

This is to get the name POLY and Polytimos known, and to bring people together into a community that has a single goal.


There will be random rewards from 1-200 POLY given based on the standing and size of your twitter account, and will be paid per post for each of the listed posts.

Each person can earn up to 6 times, one for each post, more points for spreading the posts out for a period of time. We will also encourage community voting on the amount the account should receive for the posts.

Creativity is also rewarded, make your own phrase if you choose.


I am pulling together a fund from my own pocket, which will be used to pay people in POLY for various creative and neat tasks to assist in the organic growth of the poly community.

Registering users on the forum that hit a certain rank, posting on twitter, making memes and graphics, etc...

Then, could not find any Linux GPU miner, it looks like mister punx did not follow tradition on github, and his Windows binary does not include the source code, wow! Luckily https://github.com/tpruvot/ccminer/releases followed tradition with his new Poly support and building for Linux was a build.sh away.
