I never asked for a loan. I don't need a shitty micro loan from loan shark cause I got tons of ETN coins locked up in the wallet until the guys from Hackerone finish their job.

Yeah, copy/pasting is copy/pasting and deserves a ban. If he got caught when he should have back then, his loan service would not exist, so he can't use it as an excuse to try to avoid getting banned.

I doubt that hilariousandco would do that. I see hilariousandco's reasoning as valid (if you ever read his rating). Anyway, Lone Shark had many successful lending history which these people can vouch for his services. The trust issue is not associated with his lending services so it doesn't directly affect it. Shorena have a neg trust from a DT member but still is trusted by many likewise in Lauda's case. In the end, it depends on the person as how will he perceive the trust ratings that have been given.

Afaik, Loan Shark is the only one who has been given a second chance of breaking the copy-paste rule which really is a permanent ban and hilariousandco has been very firm and unbiased. I also understand Cyrus' reasoning. Regarding the state of Lone Shark's account, I think it is the most appropriate thing to handle this case.

In my eyes copy/pasting is a serious crime.
You been enrolled in a sig. campaign to work, promote honestly and you have already taken one of the spot.
Spots are limited, if you haven't taken the spot than someone honest, genuine poster may have enrolled into that campaign.

If a Newbie posts like this, I don't instantly assume he has bad intentions. After first reading Lone Shark's red trust, I've been trying to imagine if it would be possible for me too, to accidentally mess up a quote so much that it can be turned into a copy.
I often copy/paste my posts together with multiple quotes as sources, pasting them all into the same post. It sometimes fails with nested quotes, and for that reason I check my own post again.
I think it's very unlikely to let an accidental verbatim copy/paste slip through, but given enough posts made by enough people, it can happen eventually.

That's a possibility. Anyway, don't you think that there should be some traces left that will help identify whether that "user just accidentally messed up a quote?" Maybe a bracket left or a message down below as an added detail, reaction or response to the quoted text? As I see it, the exact same thing is copied and no traces can be seen that it is "supposedly" a quote. Also, I see no reason why he would just quote it with no text down below (unlike in some occasions where you just quote it and no necessary text down below). Reiterate in behalf of that user? I don't think so.

I also do that: entertaining all possibilties I can think of. It is a good thing actually and there is nothing wrong with it. There is a mystery/thriller writer who said, "When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains however improbable, must be the truth." He applies that to his "detective" stories and I think it suits the context that I'm trying to convey.

Oh well... Maybe hilariousandco missed it? Even though there are exceptions like in Lone Shark's case, there should be a red trust in s1lverbox's profile. It would be quiet unfair. I didn't read the entire case whether you had compromised to settle this issue that's why you didn't left him (or other DT members) a negative trust.
