Even total illiterates know the value of gold, they should never be compared with one another. I'd like to say that whilst Bitcoin is POW algorithm, definitely will last for as long.

I think the future of bitcoin will be defined in terms of banks and the establishment versus the world.
One one side, we have independence movements like #brexit, catalan independence and others who are dissatisfied and unhappy with the pro establishment status quo. Nations like iceland, hungary and others who borrowed money from the IMF during the economic crisis of 2008 then kicked the IMF out of their country after they realized the price of borrowing money from them was for them to interfere in their politics and infringe upon sovereign rights may also be considered affiliated.
On the other side we have organizations like the european union, IMF and central banks which represent an attempt to centralize and unify the entire world and its money supply under their own solitary rule.
I think independence movements like catalan and #brexit will eventually embrace bitcoin and crypto as it will give them independence from SWIFT and other banker financial networks while central banks be attempt to ban crypto and outlaw it. Of course they have other alternative plans such as having banks regulate crypto or buying up all of the exchanges as we have seen goldman recently buy out poloniex.
Who knows what the outcome will be but I think bitcoin's future could be defined in terms of this conflict.

We don't need to worry about bitcoin futures, yes that's what Satoshi might have thought while programming the whole thing and made such that we can be sure about its bright future. The bitcoins concept is anyway unique and there won't be any advance technology as good as bitcoin is or what we can say blockchain!
There is very less chance that banking sectors will accept the bticoin though it has many advantages which they can use it in the domestic and international transaction. The reason is bitcoin's unregulated environment which may not be entertained by them and regulating it would be hardcore task for government. So the future is bright the way it is today.

That is possible when the cryptocurrency market is receiving great attention from investors worldwide. Other altcoin should have clear development strategies and practical applications in life to be able to survive the same market. |

Well as technology begins to evolve i think that in the future the cryptocurrencies will take over and this will be the new way of payment. However, Bitcoin has more benefits than any method of payment.

The wife Trump have invested money in gold mines? Lol. Bitcoin is more practical to use. It has more prospects. Why do you need gold? This metal has been chosen as an indicator because it is non-corrosive and has limited mining capabilities. How is bitcoin different? Say more. Gold reserves may well be more than expected. We can't really know what's underground. The number of bitcoin coins is limited to a certain amount. |

I dont see bitcoin's future so bright as you see it, I dont beleive it will be widly imlemented to econimic sector because its nature, It is hardly controlled currency made by unknown developers. What you said is may be possible to brand new national cryptocurrencies controlled by central banks, because power of modern counries based on bank's financial system

The technology will be light bitcoin. But I think that there will be a crypto currency, which will replace it. For 8 years, the technology has gone far ahead. And the potential for upgrading bitcoin is not infinite.

To me the future is very bright and all the noise that people are making against it will not going to limit it as we have a very opportunities to correct most of the financial issues and problem the whole is having. Bitcoin has done very well in the area of solving the world financial problems and reduction of unemployment and self dependence. As long as miners are still mining bitcoin, I think it will be good. I don't really want to predict the future of bitcoin since we all know that it is having some problems and I don't want to be negative about it but I don't see bitcoin being a dead digital currency in the future.
I may be dead when all of the bitcoins was mined but I think people will start to experience the real problem when that happens.
