Message on wallet is:  Not staking because you do not have mature coins

When will or what are the bottlecap coins parameters for having the coins go mature?

Here are the wallet details;

1. My wallet is v2.2.2.0
2. Wallet is up to date
3. I have 999.9999 cap in the wallet already
4. Bar on the bottom right says I have 10 connections
5. Wallet has 2063 confirmations
6. Wallet is unlocked and encrypted
7. config file is called bottlecaps.conf
8. My computer time is correct however see comments below about time logged in log file.

I have not had the wallet up a full 8 hours yet as I have had to bounce my machine for other reasons.

This is my config file

Your coins is not mature yet. If you activate coin control and and click on the coin control button under the send tab, you can see the weight of your coins.

It takes 15 days for the coins to mature. Max coin age is 45 days. You should split your coins in inputs of around 10.000 coins to maximise your pos reward. Max pos reward is 1000 coins.

Thanks for the response I did like you said and I can see this extra information.  While on the same subject I have a couple more questions.

1. If I happen to shut down the wallet and restart it for other reasons like a pc re-boot.  Does the clock start all over again on the 15 days or pickup from where it left off?

2. You mentioned that the max POS reward is 1000 coins.  If one reaches that number, does it make senses to just shut down the wallet and not stake anymore?

Learning tons!!!
Thanks in advance
Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

While on the same subject I have a couple more questions.

1. If I happen to shut down the wallet and restart it for other reasons like a pc re-boot.  Does the clock start all over again on the 15 days or pickup from where it left off?
Time continues to accrue even if wallet is closed

2. You mentioned that the max POS reward is 1000 coins.  If one reaches that number, does it make senses to just shut down the wallet and not stake anymore?
1,000 coins is the max award when a block gets a POS reward. Then, the clock rests. In 15 more days you can get another 1,000 max coins. If your coin block is large  enough to get the max reward after 15 days but, you wait 6 months before unlocking your wallet, you still only get the 1.000 max. So best to stay on top of it to get max rewards.

Learning tons!!!
Thanks in advance
Another note: If you have a block of say 10,000 coins and get a reward
- say 1,000 coins, you would now have 2 blocks of 5,500 coins. Every
time you get a POS reward the coins may split on you. Smaller coin blocks
may take less time to build "weight' and get a reward. It is necessary to
send coins to yourself to recombine blocks. There is a command "combinethreshold [amount]"
to automatically recombine small blocks into larger ones.

1. No it's the transaction time that counts. So you can shut down your wallet for 15 days, and then open it until such time that your coins stake.
2. max reward is per stake. e.g. you stake 100k coins, and would then hit the max reward of 1,000, you would end up with 2 blocks of 50,500 coins each, which would then be eligible for stake 15 days later, but again at a max reward of 1,000 per stake each. At the current interest rate level, blocks above ~30k will hit the ceiling immediately after 15 days.

Not sure if this means anything but my computer time is correct but the log file transactions are being logged ahead by 4 hours

Easy answer for this: the log times are referenced to UTC rather than your local timezone. This means the times are consistent regardless of where you are in the world.

Thanks - never worried about the time zone. Thank you. I learned something there.

I just buy 50k of this crypto, how long i must wait until my coins mature for staking? i not see any information about this in op. Is 50k enough coins to earn stakes for this crypto or do i need to buy more for my staking weight to compete with the network weight? i am still learning about these staking cryptos and just came across this one from some people promoting it on twitter.

15 days. For example these five 10,000 CAP transactions:

15 days from when the block of CAPs was sent if the wallet with F2JcokPB94AQmMV11fciePo7MSvrsjuFQV is open and unlocked for PoS at that time.  If that wallet was locked for ...say 90 days - the stake COULD max at 1000 CAPs for each of those blocks but current rate as of the last block is 111.81% annual which, based on my slide rule, is roughly 4% every 15 days.

The coins have already been mined, this project started to be developed in 2016, what are the ways to get that currency? Of interest in this project is the possible transaction 0 or low cost, will it sustain itself? Are there ways to get this coin?

The "splitthreshold" seems to be maxing out at 2429. Looks like a bug. Can anyone else confirm this?

It depends on the number of coins you have. More coins --> higher limit.

If you have 1 input with 50.000 caps you will get 1000 after coins 14 days. Your input is so big that it reach the max reward of 1000 coins.

If you have 5 inputs of 10k coins, you will have 5 inputs that each stake after 14 days. Each input will give about 4-500 coins. So in total you will get somewhere between 2000 and 2500 coins after 14 days.

You can use the coin control feature to send the coins to the same adress. You don't need to use different adresses. It just have to be different inputs.

Coin control is important for POS coins. If you are unfamiliar with
the Coin Control feature, PM me and I will send you and explanation
of how to turn it on and use it.

Is there any active dev for this coin?  Is it possible to recompile the wallet taking less resources?  I know VersionCoin is doing that now.

thank you woody i send you a message because i not know how to use this feature coin control. i buy another 50.000 bottlecaps when i understand how to make the most stakes from bottlecaps.

i think bottlecaps also need the wallet to be recompiled because wallet does use a lot of memory.

cryptoburst61, if you read my post, I have explained how to get the maximum reward.

Coin control is really self explanatory. You just choose which coins to use when you are on the send tab. You might have to activate the coin control feature on settings if it doesn't show. Settings --> options --> display --> Display coin control feature

When activatet under the send tab. Click on Coin Control button. Select your 50k input, send 10k to the same adress. Repeat the process, select the 40k from the change adress, send 10k to the original adress. Repeat the process, select the 30k from the change adress, send 10k to the orginal adress. And so on.
