We're stilling mining away: http://cap.coinmine.pl

Hope we're on the right chain.

I think you are wasting your hashes. The chain you are on look like it is way off from http://bottlecaps.kicks-ass.net/block_crawler.php which is supposed to be the holy grail.

This is the one my client is on still.

Finally, I have more than one connection, actually 8 now out of 30, most with the correct height... (What the block-crawler indicates as the correct height. 78840 now.)

Not sure what you guys did, but it worked... all except the part where I was mining on the short-chain for five hours, with no connections.

There is still a major issue with our windows-wallet/clients not looking for new connections, once we get settled-in. Thus, never even knowing there is a taller chain... or, when we know, it still keeps mining on the shorter one. (With an inability to "fix/remove" the wrong blocks in our chain, to build the correct one at the larger height. Thus, leaving us stuck on a dead chain that no-one is mining, at a lower height.)

I just redownloaded the blockchain with a single connect= to the node in OP and I still appear to be on the wrong chain, about 85 blocks behind the block crawler.

This is getting kind of ridiculous...

After changing connect to addnode and restarting:
Code:
$ bottlecapsd getpeerinfo |grep height
        "startingheight" : 78381,
        "startingheight" : 76631,
        "startingheight" : 76631,
        "startingheight" : 76974,
        "startingheight" : 78760,
        "startingheight" : 74957,
        "startingheight" : 78290,
        "startingheight" : 78383,
        "startingheight" : 78383,
        "startingheight" : 78849,
        "startingheight" : 78760,
        "startingheight" : 76631,
        "startingheight" : 78290,
        "startingheight" : 78850,
        "startingheight" : 72271,
        "startingheight" : -1,

I am still using the list from the block-explorer... had to reload my DB from noon... but it jumped right on to the chain, and still running strong... for the last hour. Only 6 connections though... dropped from 8 to 6 of the 25 in the list.

Height @ 78887 now, diff 37K (0.5659)

I guess we are still having to baby-sit this coin until 1.4.2 rolls-out... This is something that will not apparently fix itself.

Maybe checkpoint should be added in 1st "new version" block?
This would keep network in track for good.

gents - I moved the pool to new server and you have to wait until DNS is updated or use IP: 188.165.211.202 in your miner settings. Hope this move will change anything but now we are on good chain

It appears there's another fork currently @ 79,04X and 79,09X respectfully. My block crawler got caught on the smaller chain so I had to restart and redownload blocks from a backup to get on the longer chain.
