Even such news as today does not help this coin gain a foothold on a new level. On a growing bitcoin, it's better not to invest in anything, but just keep bitcoin.

Ripple really is a good technology, and will probably be used in the future by atleast a few banks. But XRP, the coin, doesn't hold any value! You don't need XRP to use the ripple technology, so why even bother holding it?

I dont understand why you are still trying to hype ripple, it is a good coin, and i have some funds invested in there but i always knew that ripple was going to be a coin for a looong, long term, so i am not in a hurry to see my investment going up like crazy because i know that it will take some years to grow.
But ripple is so compromised with the major banks, they are going to be fully centralized in some years and that is the only thing that i dont like from ripple, because they can suddenly drop and everything would be over.

Ripple doesn't force XRP on its customers, but to achieve the highest level of savings, they'll need to use xRapid, which automatically uses XRP for liquidity.  It's all documented pretty plainly here:  https://ripple.com/files/xrp_cost_model_paper.pdf

XRP has "gone parabolic" more times than almost any other coin listed.

Ah, the internet.  Your sarcasm with no supporting points and references has fully convinced me of the error of my ways.

Good article by OP. Do not known the exact details but read somewhere that every money transfer
transaction using Ripple will consume 0.5 XRP coin or so. Once Ripple gets mass adoption by banks,
potentially millions of XRP coins will get consumed daily from the supply so will also help drive up the value.

Ripple is one of the most interesting coins that i have ever bought, i am holding more than one thousand dollars worth of ripple and i am sure that i will go upto one dollar each one in a few months from now.
Maybe it is one of the most safest coins because banks are trying to adopt its technology, and this might be one of the most important things and the most interesting aspects of ripple, i dont know the real reason of why banks are so interested in this coin, but it would be nice to find out the real reason.

I actually love ripple. But it has seen a slow adoption by banks and financial institutions. Once adopted, it would revolutionalise the banking sector.
I believe in its long term growth. So I'll just buy some and hodl for maybe six months.

I believe that now this coin is expensive and it is not profitable to buy it. If there are fans of this coin here, then I recommend waiting for her to fall. I do not think that this coin is better than others and I sincerely do not understand people who are betrayed by a certain coin on puppy. This love narrows their possibilities.

Ripple is far, far away from being decentralized.
Actually its a startup with offices in San Francisco, Sydney and NY.
They have full control over their ripple network, and therefore also over XRP.
Ripple is aimed for banks to make payments faster, easier and cheaper worldwide. But its mostly intended to be used by Banks.
Banks might use XRP in the future to transfer.. but this doesn't directly mean that the price of XRP will rise.
Banks have the opportunity to buy XRP directly from Ripple. No need of an exchange, etc.. So there is no guaranteed price swing coming.
