Hi there,
I'm quite new at all of this so please bear with me.
Yesterday I made a transaction from my Electrum wallet. I sent aprox. 21 mBTC from my Electrum wallet to my nexus (exodus wallet). When I open the transaction history details it shows this: https://imgur.com/a/SXbVd

The address highlighted in green is my Electrum address. The 3rd address at the bottom (1BfzXGhCsswTCXUVwBAqh4mabTcZHKTBPT) is my Exodus address. The address highlighted in yellow is my Electrum change address.

But the top address of the 3 (1B2EqXr819BDGpoL58gziReUHtVBcrrXsY) is what I am wondering about... It is unknown to me, and somehow, 5 of my mBTCs ended up there. When I made this transaction I ONLY entered my exodus address. I went over it multiple times to make sure I was sending to the right address. I have absolutely no idea where this address came from or how I ended up sending BTCs to it.

I use exodus with 2FA. I have it set up as a multi-sig wallet. I have a brand new Macbook pro that i know for a fact has no malware or anything malicious on it. When I look up the transaction, it shows that the 5 mBTC was already spent: https://live.blockcypher.com/btc/tx/4b7de27e69d7df9bf82c6a9746793294f10553aefe794a8b8177670b98ff212c/

I understand at this point that this 5 mBTC are pretty much gone.

All I want to know is who the heck this address belongs to if that's even possible, and how to prevent this kind of thing in the future.
5 mBTCs is 40 bucks right now. I'm not stoked on losing 40 bucks out of thin air.

Has anyone experienced something like this before?

apparently when you use 2FA in electrum (your sending address = 3GmVu....) with TrustedCoin, you are charged a small fee for using their services. it works just like this transaction, there is always an additional output added to your transaction which is paying for their services. and the amount of it is usually 0.005BTC.

read the second paragraph when you start a 2FA wallet:

also for more detail you can read the "How much does it cost?" section on their website: https://api.trustedcoin.com/#/electrum-help

Thanks, I definitely didn't think of this at first.
This makes completed sense as for the amount of the fee... But I do not know why i was charged for 100 prepaid transactions when I already had 300 prepaid transactions on my wallet.

https://imgur.com/a/OApmB

it shows 398 prepaid transactions.. Implying I used 2 ( one for the failed first transaction with too low a fee, and the one that replaced it) but I still was charged for 100. Meaning i had 300 before ( and I did).
Kind of strange dont you think?

you have just two transactions in your wallet? the one on the 5th is a receiving transaction and you have made just one spend transaction paying trusted coin 0.005 for 100 transactions in the process . how did you manage to pay trusted coin for the other 300 transactions then?

Don't forget, you're only looking at one address... the previous payment(s) to TrustedCoin were most likely from a different address/transaction chain...

If I was the OP, I'd contact TrustedCoin and ask them why they ended up with multiple lots of prepay... and possibly log an issue on the Electrum github issues list, seems like it could be a bit of a glitch.
