I'm regular member here. I got into situation when seller tried to scam me. Whom attention I should relate, your of course. Because it is sticky it means approved by you.

There is a board in place for scam accusations Pinwheel. Please take these problems there and you will see that not too many people will agree with you.

Yes, I did my homework and saw that his business has scope. He has been prompt and honest with his replies. He has a lot of positive reputation threads and he has exposed his public profile to few members here as well.

If anyone apart from you has a problem with the way I mod, feel free to shout out. No one has yet made any observations apart from you. And you seem to get all your accusations wrong. ie: mukundh3, extracrunchy, axorb, now INRBTC, etc. So not sure if your observation on this one is correct as well.

It was stickied because it is a well needed service in India. After all, people need to do something with their Bitcoin.

seller with no reputation refusing escrow is a scam!! If he agree for escrow all my offers still on the table. let him to show he mean business and I will apologizes to him.

Well, benson i should just unpin all buy/sell thread and keep official one or informational threads and let people advertisement of their services on their own.

Benson! U are a fine mod. Its truly hard for anyone to replace you. To be frank, there is absolutely no one who can substitute his position. And pinwheel,  you have no clue about benson. You are not even half of him in terms of owning bitcoins, managing the indian forum and he is free to public. He knows most of the members on this forum. I meet him once in two to three weeks and he is a gentleman.

so you collecting people money without disclosing company name. it is fraud and Benson you are facilitating crime and so you are accomplice  (by making this thread sticky as a staff of this forum you adding credibility to this scam). Instead of warning people of possible scams you promoting them.

If company/firm real or not verified  not on google but on http://www.mca.gov.in/Ministry/roc.html Registrar of companies of Ministry of corporate affairs.

As I said he will not post his company name, he did not posted it. DO NOT ORDER IT IS A SCAMM

You can label it a scam only if you have been deceived. Since you have done no such transactions, and clearly have not been "scammed" off your fiat you shouldn't be calling out. I have had no issues when transacting with INRBTC and in fact their support is really amazing (and i got my BTC transferred instantly). If you believe they aren't trustworthy coz they are not allowing escrow don't deal with them. Its as simple as that.

Am good with all commercial deals coming off the stickies though. If it is a rule that will be for everyone, then there is no question of fairness as it will be across the board.

I do not have sticky now, thanks and I never asked before. more, you sticked my thread even without asking me.

This issue been discussed now, because you sticked/approved thread of guy who refuse escrow and nobody will doubt it is how all scammers will do their scams. More, he even now keeping that same stance and did not responded on my kind offer to continue our deal via escrow.

Pinwheel accepting escrow or not is a business decision and it has some costs associated with it. It was a business decision not to accept escrow as it will add to our costs. Since escrow adds a extra safety layer to the other party, we have decided that anybody needs an extra safety layer can pay for the same. Others who would not need the escrow service should not share the burden of these extra costs.

Hence , we have decided that anybody who requests an escrow service will be given one. The escrow request will add some cost to the requester.

It was stickied because it is a well needed service in India. After all, people need to do something with their Bitcoin.

This is not a good reason to pin a post. New members don't realize that you pin posts only because you see value in service provided - and that you have done nothing to vet them.

Pinning is an indicator of bias. It shows that the mod feels some threads have more importance than others. Moderators should not be biased towards any service related threads. They can pin threads related to public information about bitcoins.

That is my opinion.

Otherwise, please lay down the guidelines as to when you will pin posts.

I buy and sell bitcoins. But I do it in an individual capacity - not as a company. Will you pin my post?
I run a security on bitfunder.com. Will you pin my post?
I will help people buy anything from my local store for bitcoins - not flipkart - but my local store. Will you pin that post?

Your attempt to promote an ecosystem is just muddying the waters. Let the ecosystem build on its own. Don't pin threads just because someone asks you to pin it and its commercial in nature.

If you had requested and if it was something that would have helped spread Bitcoin across the community a bit faster, YES.
