After the wallet is upgraded to such an error,

A fatal error occurred. LUX can no longer continue safely and will quit.

EXCEPTION:St13runtime_error
CWalletDB::ListAccountCreditDebit():cannot create DB cursor
C:\lux\lux-gt.exe in Runaway exception

 what to do?

I had the same problem, you need to first backup your wallet.dat and then start the program from a command line with the -salvagewallet option.

We passed 180K block but PoS is not active, what is wrong?
Dev, arnoganix announced about this. Please check via the link
This was a protocol upgrade not just wallet update as most people think - in order to ensure smooth transition (to protocol 69200) and network stability - staking is disabled until block 180000, as mentioned/announced before. Past stakes are not lost and new wallet (4.0.0) is not currently staking until 180000.

If you have orphan stakes it means you ignored the mandatory update and you staked with old wallet which is not supported anymore.

Ok, that makes a bit more sense. Is the 36 hours from when the new protocol became available or since the 180 000 block was reached?

Eh.  I waited patiently for a new wallet that wasn't a pain in the ass to use and got it.  I'll be patient with the staking.  No big deal.

Note about beta release from discord

@everyone , thanks for your patience. As you know we pushed a new PoS code  at 180k blockheight. The code enables staking and MN (as 40% stake rewards pass to MN). We are expecting the code to factor in 36 hrs coin maturity before PoS kicks in . At the moment, we are monitoring the situation and will update in case of any change.
The new wallet is a beta release and enables staking. Please do feel free to download and upgrade.  Do not forget to back up your wallet.dat, just in case.
The official and final release will follow this and address any missing features and bugs.
Any other changes will be announced

So if I read correctly, in 36 hours staking should be enabled again?

Do we get stake rewards for the time staking has not been active?

Nice to see new wallet have arrived while im on vacation! Obviously running the old now though on the wrong chain, but will change asap to the new when i get home Smiley

About that masternode, i would not dare sending such amount of cash to a legendary, and your a member. YouTube of yourself helps probably, but it is not for me. I do hope you get it up as more masternodes is positive, hopefully there are others here who trust strangers more Smiley

You still have another 36 hours from block 180k before you miss out any staking chance, so hurry home!

But yeah I totally understand about trusting someone to setup a shared masternode. It works in other coins, and I see attempts to do it in LUX. I am trying to be as transparent as possible, but it certainly isn't go to be for everyone! After I get one setup and investors are getting regular payouts I think I will have built more of a reputation. I have been on the forum since 2013 but haven't always been a regular poster - which is why I'm not Legendary here. I've had dealings with Hero and Legendary members though, and I'm reaching out to see if they would add to my trust level.

Lets hope that new wallet will stake nicely.  Cool

Shared masternode? Dude, trust is a big issue here.

If you are using the 4.0.0 wallet you need to add the lux.conf file in this directory:  (if windows)
C:\Users\UserNameHere\AppData\Roaming\Lux

Replace the empty lux.conf with this one: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/396632784854319115/410156251985477633/lux.conf

That should get you fixed up.

The way to determine that would be to look at your payout address on a block explorer to see if it shows payouts. Also check the mining pool's page to see if it shows a payout.

I assume they haven't updated the links yet. You can see it is on the same github page as the earlier releases:

Trust can be built up, I would be willing to risk say ~$250 on a 1/1000th share rather than ~$2500 on a 1/100th share. Once I start seeing returns, I would then consider increasing my number of shares and maybe ultimately exceeding 1/100th share.

I think there is a hell of a lot more people who would get in at the ~$250 price range. You could incentivize 1/100th shares with a slight discount on the fees as compared to the smaller shares.

We aren't all whales, give us a chance to get in on the ground floor and we will take you up on your excellent idea.

You can put me down for at least 1 1/1000th share possibly 2 if you decide to go with that idea and that is just me getting started.
