Why we push data onto blockchain?

So what's the gain here to put data onto blockchain? What it bring to the table? I have got a renting platform where people can rent anything! is there anything where blockchain can help my platform? more than integrating crypto in the platform.

P.S i am noob in Blockchain! Bitcoin and Blockchain are different.
