Coinbase and many other exchanges stopped trading and buying/selling of Bitcoins for ~2 hours under the fear that some "hidden mining group" warned us of a possible 2x hard fork even after the cancellaton and they thought that a "surprise" fork could still take place. But as block #494,784 (which was the decided block for 2x to kick in) passed through the main chain and no difficulty drops were seen, shall we consider this as a clear-cut win over 2x and we finally won the race with the major Bitcoin be the remaining opponent here?

No its finally declared that segwit2x fork has been officially cancelled due to no support from core miners. Most of the wallets have restored with the normal transactions.

For now Segwit2x is not happening, but I don't think that Miner group who were supporting Segwit2x will remain calm. They will again try to create a propaganda and bring back SWT2X. It may not be surprising if we will soon hear a new launching date of segwit2x. So Game is not over yet.

Check the news. I thought that they were still going to get segwit2x out, bit it was delayed for a couple of days due the decrease in hashrate as pretty much everyone big in the NYA left, but it turns out that segwit2x had a bug in its code that didn't properly allow for it to be deployed:

https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/now-segwit2x-hard-fork-has-really-failed-activate/

But even then, after such a fail, some want to rebrand it into "BitcoinX" it seems, what a clown car. I hope it's just a troll job.

Remember a lot of people lost their investment on this segwit2x and they
are claiming they are 30% of the miners. We don't know what they can do.

Are they the ones who pumps BCH recently?
