I think bitcoins popularity plays a big part and is one of the main reasons why its price is so high. The more popular bitcoin get, the bigger the demands will be and the higher the demand the higher the price goes up. Plus bitcoin is known to be the first and has asserted its dominance from other coins.

All coins listed on coinmarketcap or other sites are original coins. all coins have different technology different. why bitcoin prices expensive? because of the low number of coins and large enthusiasts. it makes the bitcoin price expensive.

Bitcoin is the original one, so is it superior. I beleive that altcoins are followers of bitcoin and should be put after bitcoin.
When a person newly gets involved to cryptocurrency, he must know the bitcoin first in order to understand crypto world.
The reason of price rise in bitcoin, is because bitcoin is nominated worldwide and is acceptable at most places, whereas people are mostly not aware of altcoins
I agree. Before those altcoins. Bitcoin was the first and original coin that was introduced to people. Since it was the first, people invested on it and it began to be known little by little until the price was high. Many people are using bitcoin for trading and sometimes in project. Many people are joining or investing in bitcoin so it will be spread and it will go to high price. |

Simply put it, Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency in the world. Every altcoin was originated from Bitcoin. So, yes one of the reasons for its price is being the first cryptocurrency. Second reason is that most of people use Bitcoin more than any other coin right now.

Actually I do not think that the high price of bitcoin is due to a superiority so great compared to other cryptos. But most people who are not involved in this ecosystem are unaware that there are more advantageous and advanced currencies than bitcoin, and that is why they assume that bitcoin is something very sophisticated with great potential that is worth acquiring.
The price of bitcoin is based more on its fame than its functionality.

It is because of the market failing, some of the whales are manipulating the prices, he speculators and the media is also affecting the price of the bitcoin, I think that are the reasons of this bitcoin rise in price. |

because Bitcoin Price depends on trust, is formed exclusively by inventory and demand and is not tied up with currencies or other assets, and for now the supply is limited and demand is increasing hence the bitcoin price is very high

I think it's very logical. The price of Bitcoin is high, because the concept of supply and demand. It is one of the basic laws of the economy. If in brief, the more "it" is claimed, the higher its price will be.

Hello, Im new in crypto and have a question (a stupid one).. I never really gave it much though and now i wonder. Is price of bitcoin so high (compared to altcoins) because it is so much superior or is it just because it is THE coin - the original one. Cheers  The answer is simple, because BTC is a pioneer in the crypto market. You can see that the pioneers either succeeded brilliantly or failed completely. Because pioneers are more adventurous than their followers, that is why their success is greater. |

Sometimes coins that are listed on cmc is not going make it after a while. You should invest in the top coins with the most daily trades. |
