http://casascius.uberbills.com/?address=1Cau1egFww53cSNhQCfaEdBcpD55QempAM

Status:   Active
Type:      1 BTC
Version:   2
Dated:   2011
Funded:   2012-06-28 21:44:30

I had a few more recent versions, as well as one of the error coins, sold that last peak for I think 6BTC. I know this isn't the error so probably won't go for as much but I believe it's still worth at least 1.5BTC from what I'm seeing other sell for with some quick searching.

Coin is in good shape, was in the original mini-manilla envelope so did get exposed to air slightly tarnishing, but nothing horrible.

I think I'll run this till the end of the month (30/11/13 23:59) auction style. Starting bid is 1.1btc shipped.

If I don't get any offers on this by the end of month, destroying the coin to get the private key out. Can't sit on this with credit card debt and rent hitting me at the start of the month...

Dude, don't kill it, update the thread, let us know how it fares.
How much do you need to get through? I momentarily burned the liquids on Neptune hardware but got some left also incoming all the time.

PM me, this is a friendly opener to solve problems and do some business~

I know it's into the holidays but I figured there'd still been interest for it as a gift even.

I don't know if I should extend it now that there's interest. Technically you posted after the first of the month, but we also couldn't log in so I couldn't post or update the thread! With that security issue looming. I managed to scramble together enough for bills, literally on the brink though with single digits in bank! So for now I can hold off and see if a few more days will get interest.

I posted a few different places and no responses or interest, so it was a final lash of frustration, I certainly don't want to destroy it just on principle, but that's also it's purpose, granted this is an early series and holds more sentiment, but... you know.

I don't know, I feel both sides of this, I did set a deadline, and while it was only 2-3 days, it was mostly to get interest before bills. But not sure if I should back out on the first person to offer that made it before the cutoff, part of me feels like that's breaking contract of running an auction style. I don't want to be greedy either but times are hard and a lot of people pull listings from 'private bidders' breaking the concept of auctions anyway.

So... for real this time. Ending Friday December 6th, 2013 11:59pm to be mailed Saturday or Monday price included in bid for basic slowest shipping with included tracking and insurance, upgradable at bidders discretion.

No problem about the deadline, but thanks for the consideration.

Yessir indeedy. At that last peak of like 220$ back before it dropped sub-hundred again I think beginning of the year. This was on BitMit, but with them closing I couldn't list this there.

Why is the coin dated 2011, when it was created and funded 2012?

Not sure, Casascius must have had the sticker applied already but in a box unsold, and funded it as it went out the door? Smiley

Most likely.  I bought some silver coins from them, and they funded after I confirmed that I received them.
