HPPCOIN : Egalitarian High Performance Computing Platform

    ABSTRACT :
HPP (High Performance Computing Platform) is a Distributed infrastructure for Heigh Performance Computing that can carry general purpose computing tasks on heterogeneous devices hosted by large number of distributed nodes considered as Smart properties, Nodes can join and leave the network without affecting the overall Network performance. A node (NODE) can sign a smart contract to process computation on behalf of a tasks provider (PROVIDER) and earn fees paid in HPP (High Performance Computing Platform Coin) upon completion of the contract terms.

    1 INTRODUCTION :
The main motivation behind this work comes from the increased need of computing power in the academic research centers, academic institutions in most countries cannot afford to have their own HPC (High Performance Computing) infrastructure nor the high cost of HPC cloud service providers. Hence the idea to connect all universities workstations, servers and even laptops and form a big decentralized datacenter.

The idea is indeed very interesting, and very promising, but a lot of problems should be addressed before we can come up with a scalable and distributed platform for general purpose high performance computing, problems that can be perceived from two different perspectives : economic and technical.

    2 ECONOMIC PERSPECTIVE :
Computing power scarcity : The economic problem emerges because our computing power needs are greater than our ability to produce this computing power. HPP solve this problem using the concept “Give and Take”. a research center in Denver can Give a part of its computing power from 06 PM MST to 08 AM MST and earn HPP coins and use them to Take control of higher computing power from 08 AM MST to 06 PM MST.

    3 TECHNICAL PERSPECTIVE :
    • 3-1 Distributivity : the block chain technology is highly distributed by design, NODES form a peer to peer network, communication is implemented in RPC.
    • 3-2 Anonymity : HPP is built on top of bitcoin daemon, a NODE can activate Tor to benefit from high anonymity, a NODE can also anonymize the earned coins using the Zerocoin protocol.
    • 3-3 Security : Node security is ensured through virtualization, PROVIDER data security is ensured by encrypting sensitive data and Virtual Host lifecycle control.
    • 3-4 Scalability : Nodes automatic deployment, node migration, PROVIDER’s data replication.
    • 3-5 Availability : Proof of Uptime and resources availability are checked permanently by the block chain.
    • 3-6 General Purpose Computing platform : use of open standards like : Xen virtualization, OpenSSH, OpenCL and OpenMP
    • Trust : Smart Contracts and Micropayment channels.

    4 MASTERNODE :
For high compute-intensive tasks the task provider’s Node cannot handle the increased workload due to high network communication traffic, large amounts of working-memory demand and high cpu usage. in this case the task provider can delegate task’s negotiation and coordination to a Masternode.
A Masternode can earn HPP coins on a time basis by carrying negotiation, co- ordination and results verification on behalf of a task provider.
The computation task price is negotiated between the Tasks provider and the Worker nodes based on the Extended Contract Net protocol.

None of your links work?  Looks like you have some structure here though, I will keep an eye on it.  I think 10% founder's reward is too high.  You should make it 4-5% at most.

I don't  see anything about masternode reward.

Masternodes are planned in the  1.0.1 Version (will be released on February 2018) see our roadmap : https://trello.com/b/w4CnFCdV/hppcoin

Reward percentage for Masternode is estimated between 15% and 25% (between 11 HPP and 20 HPP for the first two years) of the block reward, but the exact value will be announced in January 15 alongside other technical details about Masternodes.

I don't  see anything about masternode reward.

Masternodes are planned in the  1.2.1 Version (will be released on 2018) see our roadmap : https://trello.com/b/w4CnFCdV/hppcoin

Masternode main role is to handle communication and negotiation and results verification on behalf of the tasks provider. Masternode can earn HPP coins on a time basis (configured in HPP Core Daemon). For example a masternode holder can specify 0.5 HPP per hour.

Looking at the website, it seems you are offering a very similar product as Golem. What is different about your platform that will make it superior to other existing distributed computing platforms such as Golem and BOINC?

Looking at the website, it seems you are offering a very similar product as Golem. What is different about your platform that will make it superior to other existing distributed computing platforms such as Golem and BOINC?

    First Golem:
Golem is an application specific platform the main use case is CGI rendering and Golem developer are planning to add more specific application domain use cases.

Our platform design is totally different as we target General Purpose High performances Computing. so any entity aiming to do high performances computing can use HPP platform to carry its computations.

    Second BOINC :
Boinc is big project for gride computing it is not intended for Virtual Host Sharing
HPP allow users to rent computing power on a time basis and earn HPP as a reward.

We will send HPP to Bitterx and Polo after releasing CUDA and OpenCL Miners and the official mining pool. Generally in December 2017.

Im afraid you wont be able to just add coins to Bitrex and Poloniex, both exchanges choose their own coins to list, its not as simple as Yobit or Cryptopia who list for a fee.

just 35 Min before the mining start time.

Links will be posted on http://hppcoin.org in few minutes.

stay tuned and happy mining :-)

For now just use the built in CPU Miner.

The pool and CUDA, OpenCL miners will be announced next week see our RoadMap on Trello.
