The main motivation behind this work comes from the increased need of computing power in the academic research centers, academic institutions in most countries cannot afford to have their own HPC (High Performance Computing) infrastructure nor the high cost of HPC cloud service providers. Hence the idea to connect all universities workstations, servers and even laptops and form a big decentralized datacenter.

Is there any comparison what the actual rate for leasing is? And how can other users enter the system and rent my computation power? Sorry to be a bit behind, I am trying to understand the new features.  |

@Damberg Yes you can offer VPS for lease in HPP V1.1.0 (the current Version).
HPP platform do not regulate the renting price, Only the VPS owner can set the desired price, so the Market will decide : the famous rule Offer - Demand will apply.
Cheaper VPS will have more chance to be leased.

Thank you for the response. Stocks.exchange changed their trading interface and I noticed an interesting fact - both buy and sell side of the orderbook has risen significantly in volume. There are now sell orders for ca 700,000 HPP and buy orders for more than 1 BTC |
