Please do your research on this coin beforeinvesting, it has had a bumpy road already with when it was signatum under doc's rule, not everyone knows exactly what happened behind the scenes there so please be careful.

Once bitten twice as shy, however, this is Straks, not Signatum. it may be comforting to know what seperates them is two completely different Dev teams, algorithms and project directions.
to be honest with what happened with the doc and the rest of these devs, none of us will know the real truth, im still to unsure about the team, who knows they might pull it off but i think ill sit on the fence for now with this one.

I think the challenge for Straks, pitched essentially as a transparent community coin, will be to take all the best bits out of the community that have come over from Sigt, while trying to leave the baggage at the door.

Having a ready made group in Sigt come over to this project looks to be a blessing and a curse based on over 50 pages on this thread. It means you have a group of people ready to contribute, but if they are still holding onto the ups and downs, and general weirdness of things that happened with Sigt, then it will be difficult to get positive engagement.

I personally like the Sigt/Straks swap. It is a better outcome than the developers pretending they weren't involved in some way in the Sigt project. Also the way they've done the swap where coins are released steadily over time in parallel with mining rewards (instead of just 'dumped' into peoples wallets) is the right way to go about it.

What did you really mean? There are lots of young coin listed on exchanges. If you want to judge one project is a scam one or not, please look at its roadmap, whitepaper, and of course real activities and or products from developers. Let's go.

It's not a scam. Just what  a stupid market devs! I suggest the core devs change  them.

How to convert from sigt to STRAKS
You mean swapping? It will be done by swapping bot at discord channel. specification of the mechanism is written at GitHub.
Code:
1. User initiates SIGT swap by issuing direct-message to STAK-bot
2. STAK-bot generates new Signatum address and requests SIGT transfer from user
3. STAK-bot monitors address and waits for 15 confirmations
4. STAK-bot notifies user of completion of transfer
5. STAK-bot requests user STAK address for swap process.
6. User provides new STAK address for swap.
7. STAK-bot confirms user registration for swap.
8. End of STAK swap registration process

Not sure how it makes sense to set the MN collateral at 15k when there is less than 6k STAK available to buy on exchange.  We can't even estimate the price of a MN right now.

Also, just curious: have devs promised not to launch masternodes with pre-mine or treasury fund?

Cryptovore - today at 12:28

@everyone As part of our ongoing effort to increase STRAKS’ accessibility across trading platforms, we are pleased to announce that STRAKS is now also available for trading at stocks.exchange. STRAKS was added just a few minutes ago, therefore the market may still appear empty for a while. We wish you all happy trading!

THE SWAP BOT

To confirm, the swap bot is nearing completion.  The programming element is complete and we are undergoing some more comprehensive testing and minor tweaking.  We will be announcing the swap start and end date very soon.  Again, you will have 30 working days to swap to STRAKS, to there is plenty of time for everyone to participate.

Hey, Straks community,

Did anybody have any success trading at koinbi.com and withdrawing funds?

And specifically development team, did you have any communication with koinbi.com, did you receive any emails from them?

I traded a small amount of STAK and then later realized that I can't withdraw any funds because it requires 2FA which is broken.
I scan 2FA code, type in response and get a message that code is invalid.

Tried contacting support@koinbi.com - I'm getting "undeliverable email" errors.
Sent them a message on Twitter with no response.

Is it a scam exchange? Does it work one way only (deposit, trade, but never withdraw)?

Please share your experience and contact details if you have any.

Thank you.

Beware of scam:
- Koinbi.com exchange. Fake exchange rates, withdrawals don't work, no way to contact support.

When the swap bot is ready? I am waiting for it.
By the way, is there any exchange will list Straks now?

Yes it was suspected as a scam early on, simple rule is never trust a new exchange.

Lesson learned, luckily it was very small amount, less than 20 bucks worth of straks.

Will it still be possible to somehow centralize the project? Maybe through extensive reselling of ownership?

Stocks.exchange will be your best bet to use, coinsmarket often dupe users with the extra satoshi decimal that often confuses in a quick sell.

A public round of funding is now available, where you will be able to acquire STRAKS at a discounted rate directly from the STRAKS team. As an added benefit this gives you, the investor, the opportunity to potentially acquire sufficient STRAKS to set up a Masternode while at the same time assisting in enhancing the accessibility of STRAKS across exchange sites. With this round of funding, in exchange for STRAKS, we seek to cover the 2 BTC requirement for listing on coinexchange.io. Please read the full details here and find everything you need to know on how to acquire your STRAKS while supporting the further enhancement of the STRAKS brand: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2433318.msg24921025#msg24921025

Call out for designers (300 STRAKS bounty reward)

Calling all aspiring and talented graphic designers. A community member will be racing his McLaren in January, which will have STRAKS branding on it. In order to be as well positioned as possible for this, we are offering a bounty for the best creative work suggested.

What we need is a sticker designed for the car, measuring approximately 30x30cm. It needs to feature the STRAKS name + logo + domain extension (.io) so that we can generate traffic to the website and must include a tagline such as one of those below:

- Fast and Secure Digital Payments
- Ecommerce Centric Digital Currency

If you are a Marketing guru, we are open to tagline suggestions that easily convey that it is a digital currency, such as Bitcoin.

Bounty for the best work submitted by Tuesday 12th 23:59 CET = 300 STRAKS

Please send your suggestion directly to @Cryptovore on Discord.
