Huh its really a shoking news ,now we could go to jail for using any crypto currency and its just a retard decision knowing that its comming from the same country who kept boasting about launching their first satelite and being a future proof country... anyways for anyone comming to morocco be careful ,the prisons here are already crouded .
Their regret is valid. Morocco is on its phase to development and can be termed as a developing economy. So if there is a constant use of bitcoin in their economy. Their currency would certainly get devalued. This would stop their inflation and reduce the pace of economic development. Moreover bitcoin makes it easy for people to evade taxes. Therefore, a small state without enough taxes would surely not prosper. This has provoked Govt. to take some strict steps against Cryptocurrency.

I don't agree with you. Most of the countries in this world have developing economy, that mean they all should BAN crypto-currencies and only developed countries Like US, Japan etc have right to to use BTC. In my opinion, BTC will help to boost the economy of a country by making ease in business which will help to develop the economy of a country more faster.

The authenticity of this information is not backed by any linking prove so it will not pass as a news. Meanwhile, if it could be true by any chance, could it be because Morocco is an Islamic country. And, is there any Islamic country with such illegal information about bitcoin.

Bitcoin is illegal in many countries like nepal, Bangladesh, Ecuador.
But no big economic power except China has announced it illegal yet. As Every country know its power to change economy so countries like US, Russia, India, Australia etc are analyzing its pro and cons before taking any firm decision on it.

There is a common belief in the Moroccan cryptocurrency community that there is great potential in their IT arena, especially in the coding and trading of cryptocurrency. This combined with the huge investments they make will advance the Kingdom to be at the forefront of adoption in Africa, if the government will regulate this sector fairly.

All the mentioned governments are showing interest towards the Bitcoin and its technology behind it, before proceeding government will check in/out after accepting Bitcoin as legal tender, governments are taking the lot of measures to legalize the Bitcoin but they need to confirm other sectors in order to improve their standards.

Because of the new cryptocurrency technology, most countries are still trying to figure out how to adapt to the multitude of digital currencies emerging in the last decade.

They are really still confused and just sees the negative side of bitcoin, sad to say but let us still be positive, we have Japan and Russia who have a great plan in bitcoin, so hoping that some countries will finally remove the ban when they have seen that the project will become successful.

Doesn't seem to be a smart move from authorities of Morocco... While many other countries meet cryptocurrencies, they are banning it. I just don't understand it

unfortunately they are instead using the latest flow of new technology, this government agency takes a wrong move. bitcoin currencies may ruin their economy is nothing wrong. If the economy really does happen, they do not have to worry because people are using Bitcoin currency. this does not mean that many people trade with the value of Bitcoin that can harm the economic institutions.

in fact, this is one that causes panic to me, because bitcoin currencies will someday be banned in the country we live in. there may be people who have better income, this will really have a profound impact in a life of their own profit. so there is little chance it will happen, because government agencies are already tracking ways to organize it. for Morocco they only raise the decision to ban the currency cryptocurrency, but if they will find that states across the country are embracing it, but because there are some countries against it it will follow the flow.

This news is normal only, because so many countries now announced cryptocurrency is illegal. But dont know why countries are not ready to accept new technologies. Now many countries accept crypto as legal but with some restrictions. Because they are not allow people to use bitcoin as illegal. So dont know why Morocco take such decesion. Because it is a small state so they can easily handle the people using cryptocurrency. Hope in future they will change the rules.

I am convinced that this is a problem only for Morocco. For some reason, in the US, Israel, Switzerland, cryptocurrencies are not prohibited. Another thing is that you need a very careful regulation of the crypto market to reduce the level of fraud and money laundering.

I think it is important to realize that countries are not existing in a vacuum, but are
competing with each other. Therefore the really big countries cant´t really ban Bitcoin,
because their competitors would then be able to profit from promoting Bitcoin in their
own countries. E.g. if the US would ban Bitcoin, Russia and China would probably
immediately embrace it.

This isn´t even taking into account the fact that a ban of a decentralized currency
like Bitcoin is not enforceable. Even after the government of Morocco banned Bitcoin, people
can still use it and just have to switch to P2P trading or exchanges that still serve
customers from Morocco.

Huh its really a shoking news ,now we could go to jail for using any crypto currency and its just a retard decision knowing that its comming from the same country who kept boasting about launching their first satelite and being a future proof country... anyways for anyone comming to morocco be careful ,the prisons here are already crouded .

Doesn't Morocco have an absolute monarchy or a constitutional monarchy where the monarch isn't just a mere figurehead but has a lot of political influence?

Banning crypto currency is pathetic though. So far States that have banned cryptos end up reversing their positions. It happened in Russia. It's happening in China. It'll probably happen in Morocco. Even if they ban it, they can't stop you from using bitcoin or exchanging fiat with offshore exchanges or using localbitcoin. That is why Russian gave up on their bitcoin ban.

I have never heard of that. Who told you Morocco banned bitcoin? They do not even know about its existence, I mean the majority of its people. As a matter fact, all Arab countries in Africa do no care about bitcoin and there is no law that concerns the use of bitcoin. You should have provided your thread with a reliable source. With that attempt, you might have scared Moroccans as they would not try to use/sell/buy bitcoin.

BTC is not a borovi zobov'yazannami (yak privirnyi groshni) and on the basis of material not materialized. The price of bitcoins should be covered in the form of proposals, toto, to the extent that the currency is paid to people. It is possible to hold a parallel with gold, a price for a yak to be filled up with a drink. Yaksho gold, at a moment's time, no one will pick it up, then the price will collapse, however, until the end of the day the price does not fall, so that all the same, metal and silver can be worn out. З бикoiнa ж y випaдкy вiдcyтнocтi пoпитy poбити нiчoгo нe вийшлo, тo i цiнa нa нoгo theoretically can fall asleep to scratch.

This is a sad news because the world is moving to digital currency. In future the cryptocurrency is ver bright. Now it is accepted by so many countries with some rules. The rules is for to avoid people using bitcoin illegally.  Likewise morraco is a developing country so it will be consider to accept in future. If one countrie succeed in the cryptocurrency automatically other countries have a chance to accept. Hope morraco also accept cryptocurrency soon in their country.
