I think the Developer is having issues cleaning up the code that was implemented on last client update. He is looking for a bit of help if you know your way around some code.
Mr. Fista says he is seeking out folks to help and I have contacted two guys from previous posts that we put on backburner when Mr. Fista was active on github. Hopefully we can find resolution o the client issue and get something pushed before 2 year anniversary.

Mining reward has now halved to 6.25 GLC per block. Here's some interesting facts.
GLC issued per day: ~13,500
Currently 13,500 GLC equates to a mere 0.01 BTC worth of inflation per day (1 GLC = 80 satoshis)
To date 88% of all Globalcoin to exist have been mined - 62 million out of the 70 million.
95,000+ Globalcoin addresses have been seen on the network.
Current Wealth Distribution of said addresses:
Top 10 14,718,416 GLC 23.70 % Top 100 38,522,136 GLC 62.04 % Top 1000 56,176,578 GLC 90.47 % All 95398 62,093,363 GLC 100 %
The largest single address not belonging to an exchange holds 2,185,652.8 GLC or 3.52 % of all currently mined coins. This address last saw input/output 224 days 23 hours ago.
According to address tagging the dominate GLC exchange cryptsy.com holds roughly 22 million GLC across 493 non-zero addresses with 841 known addresses. The largest single address at crypsty holds 2 million GLC.

just let this coin die. Because you're a newbie and don't hold any? Looks like he has been around since February of 2014 and he has posted here on occasion. He may be a whale Folks going to say things to get better price. Network is chugging along. Hopefully the fixes will be implemented soon. Icodestuff, this is really just cut and paste work. Can you do the fixes?

I think that the issue of this coin is that people do not see much point in keeping it for reward. If developers will not be able to implement a system the POS for reward equity, then the after a while globalcoin to turn into one of the garbage coins and reduction award or change the algorithm will not help.

I hope that you understand that the normal upgrade wallet with the change of logo will not change the current situation. People expect more, possibly it a new algorithm and POS revenue for storing coins in a wallet

People expect more, possibly it a new algorithm and POS revenue for storing coins in a wallet If people expect a new also to bring value well that's just stupid. Things take time, we are dealing with a very old source code. If we could click our fingers and everything could be magically done I'm sure you would have already. But since you have not, things take time.

You are joking. Of all the coins that are now on the market which have a system POS + POW the best investment is Diamond. I have a little globalcoin so I made a proposal to revise the strategy. how do you get people to keep the coins if they do not have any income from this? Only speculative trading on the dirty games and risk losing all the coins.

It was a joke, a very good joke. I have never like pos coins. I do not want to leave my wallet open and unprotected for 3% to 6% per annum. Risk/reward is way out of line, for me.
Pos may become glc some day. But the best(most valuable) coins, remain to be pow if I am not mistaken....
