Broke fan new one causes error

I purchased to new fan 6000 rpm 4 pin seller said is is for antminers  120x38mm 2.7amps. i have a d3 anyone know why it the system won't let me mine with it? it spins up just fine and runs like a champ I just keep getting a socket connection error. any help would be greatly appreciated.
