Attended a meeting tonight where Power Ledger founder Govert van Ek confirmed contract signed with a Thai power company - announcement tomorrow.

Too early to say that, but " pump " is hope not reality. We need to wait until it happen but analyze is needed to decides follow or not?. If we were sure just join it if not leave it. POWR is new in the real market, need hard work and more time to pump again. But I can say that POWR has a good chance to pump but not at this moment. I'm sorry if my opinion not same with you but I didn't see how good POWR ( not yet ) in the rel market. Good luck POWR.

LOL, why not listen to "$POWR - admin team"  I mean pump team and prolong pump till Monday.      This team lost lost of integrity in my eyes and that is really bad start since i monitor them only 2 days.   But I guess I should not blame them. We here let that this pump and dump culture is going on unpunished. Now noobs see like that is a Crypto and adopt it.

I don't know, I think that might be a lot to infer from a small announcement delay. I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just suggesting the team is moving a mile a minute and I'm willing to give them leeway.  Communication channels can always improve, however,  I'm impressed with what I've see  so far.  Just offering another opinion.

Well, this news is not a sensation. Government support - that's what really affected the price increase. I bought only 100 tokens. Just like that. I liked the idea. Trade in excess energy. I did not even suspect that this would be a good investment.

I do not understand what kind of project this is. I had seen the project before it was done, but I could not find any opportunity to research it. I could not be involved after. it went  below each ico value I entered. but it was all evaluated if I did not join the project. I   think I dont have a chance. 

the price has now risen. from these levels I was not able to get in. I'm getting higher than every level now much higher levels but I still do not think to enter. it is probably waiting for my attendance. if I add, prices will definitely fall.

Price of crypto has that weird habit of dropping after big announcements. 

Not this time! This guy was absolutely right, it's 47% up on coinmarketcap. And, as it is mostly traded to bitcoin (not some local fiat) and trading volume is 160 million dollars, so I don't think the price is pumped my coin creators or anybody else. Looks like it truly went up after the agreement announcement.

Why do you think so? Is there something specific that makes this coin so nice? Big mining profits, perhaps? They have quite a lot of partners, which is impressive, whereas their idea supporting ecology is rather vague.

Your logic is that there will be a pump and dump just like all other ICOs.  But other ICOs pump base on rainbows and unicorn farts.  Power Ledger is the ONLY ICO that launched with a piloted product and massive government backing and regulation.

The best analogy for this is to look at Ripple.  Ripple also had a massive pump and dump shortly after launch, but at launch they didn't have a product - just dreams like all the other ICOs.  If you want to compare with Ripple, compare with Ripple when it hit the 16c range.  That's where Power Ledger is in the development lifecycle.  Did Ripple go to 16c then go back down to $0.006?  Do you expect Ripple to go back down to $0.006 levels?  No, right?

Some of you crypto investors sometimes seem to be huge gamblers - your whole investment analysis is based on looking at graphs, trends and past performances of similar tokens.  You completely ignore the product.  I watch all these youtube videos of crypto-investors touting the next breakout coin for 2018 and I look at the product and the product is shit.  The whole shill is just based on looking at a bloody graph!

Power Ledger is different.  Among the top 10 cryptos, it is way ahead of many that don't even have real-life application yet.  Out of the top 20 coins, only Stellar Lumens and Bitcoin are really being used in real-life applications in production environments.

POWR is surely different. It's one of my favorite coins because of exactly what you said. But the thread questions was just if there will be a pump. And there was a pump of approximately ~47%

It's always the same dude, buy the rumor and sell the news. See for example about ripple conference, ZEC JP morgan thing and many other pumps because of rumor. After the news hit expect to see some price getting hammered soon. There's always be a whale who controlled the price as always.

If the news is already leaked, it should be pumping already. And it is. Why wait for the announcement. When the real announcement comes out, price will drop. Buy the rumor, sell the news and all that.
