I purchased  a s-9  on nov 23 and it has been mining for a week already .

I purchased twenty gpus and built a beast 8 gpu 4000 sol rig along with other rigs.

No real info on this item.

We had 2 diff jumps of 18 percent and coins dropped from 20k to 16k

Which is a 20 percent drop.

So march preorders that arrive in April do not appeal much.

yes, and this is with my previous post IF THEY EXIST..a real benefit of a doubt stretch that is.....by both of us.....

Again, if they do exist..I think ....they stopped selling them and just started mining them as soon as the price went over $100 usd

but, I still think they are vaporware.....won't matter much if I'm wrong ...would not get any equip of any asic flavor at this point in time

better to hold and wait for another price pump in BTC LTC or whatever...2-3 month delay is killer and Bitmain would just lower prices

or keep your shipment if the price pumps like last summer...(it is what they do) ..thus not enthused enough to even care if this equip exists

I will refrain from name calling and cursing. But, you dudes will be really embarrassed with all your naysaying.

If this was a professional operation it certainly would not attract this amount of contention, and prick teasing is not the way to arouse your future customers.

Even if they're nowhere near ready, there's nothing stopping them coming out with a stream of updates, news and information. This is a potential multi billion dollar business and anyone planning on getting into it should be acting accordingly.

So far it's following the total deadbeat template almost to the letter.

There will be a steady stream of news coming soon. It’s ok not to buy right now. Actually, you can’t by right now. But the thing is, the demand is higher than all the suppliers put together can even handle. There will be no problem finding buyers.

Buyng from Halong supports a bitmain competitor. Bitmain not only dominates hardware sales but in my opinion has a 51% attack vector already secured in hash rate they control. If miners do not get their greed in check, bitcoin and alts will be destroyed by Bitmains monopoly because the space will cease to be decentralized.

Thanks for taking the time to post on this forum Scott. Whilst I don’t think it justifies Halongs approach to Customer relations, I do take your point that demand far outstrips supply. So if, for a moment, we are to take your claims of this projects legitamacy on face value, can you please tell us what assurance you have that you (and Adam Back etc) aren’t being used by Halong as puppets too, as part of a larger plan.

This is not an accusation, just a question which may allay potential customers concerns.

the pool runs the code and does in fact control the hash on the pool while it remains on their pool

this is why everyone moved their hash off GHASH a few years back

The only thing Bitmain would have to do to win back their customers' trust would be to improve their customer service, improve the quality of their manufacturing and keep their prices reasonable... right? This shouldn't be hard for a multi-billion dollar company to do. I assure you, there is no conspiracy occurring here (if that is what you are hinting at). I can tell you, no one is a puppet here.

There is far more at play here than is currently understood. Obviously there has not much of anything revealed at this point, and I respect the honest skepticism that some have expressed. If I were better at public relations, I would never have jumped on here and started making promises.

The only thing I can say right now is... if you really are uncomfortable sending $ to what appears to be scam, then just wait a few weeks.

Now this is a rough estimate, but Bitmain has around 70% of the mining equipment industry market share right now. They also own various mining pools out there (whether obvious or unknown).  A change needs to occur and this Halong project is that change.

I didn't trust this when I saw it but I've changed my mind to wait and see. I did see on Bitminter where D. had Halong's site as a dealer to buy from. I've mined on Bitminter for years. I trust Dr. to have good insight as to what's right. Not that he couldn't be fooled like anyone else.
But he is a trusted member of the community.

A pre-launch campaign with no proof from a new player around here overwhelmingly means scam, as you can see.

When you can launch the product properly come back with proof, sell out, profit, simple as that.  Enjoy the crazy market conditions of present and don't over complicate things man.
