This account https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=288712

Jim Blasko, a crypto OG, His account has been taken by an unknown person.. I noticed earlier due to some posts from it that obviously did not come from Jim himself..

I have been in contact with Jim externally and he confirms it is stolen..

Could someone with more powerful trust than me pain this thing red to help avoid a possible scam attempt and to discourage hacked account holders in general..
Please make this account worthless to the person that holds it until Jim can get around to claiming it back after the holiday..

I PMed the present account holder and hopefully he can find it in his heart to just return it if he is a half decent member of the community..
This happened to me personally and I gave it back without a fuss after a hacked account got dumped on me as collateral.. My mistake..

Thank you very much for the paint..

So, where is the signed message? You should know too well that this is a useless claim if you can't provide it since it will be the basis whether that user is the "real" owner or not. Attach it here so DT members can see and tag it. Why didn't the account holder, himself, filed the complaint here in Meta? I assume that the supposedly real owner made a new account and signed a message which he sent it to the admins.

when will legalization bitcoin? why this does not happen? are there any countries that have legalized bitcoin?
or already somehow now it is possible to legalize the income received from Bitcoin?

It's pretty obvious..

I notified the owner and he said it's stolen..
That's all I got..

I see. Still, it is not sufficient. Also, the owner needs to sign a message to prove that he owns the account so why not just he sign a message then post it here so DT members can tag it. I don't know if DT members would tag it as "probably hacked account" which is an unsure statement. In other words, it adds to your convincing power for them to do so.

I tend to believe him, but it would be better if the original owner made an alt account here and signed a message from a staked address and argued for the hacking himself.  Then I would tag the account with no hesitation.

What if it's a sold account?  I'm reluctant to take anyone's word that they know the owner of an old account personally, no offense eddie13.  It's just that I'd rather hear it from the alleged victim himself and have some proof.  If you do really know this guy, why don't you suggest it to him?

Hunting old posts and what you are trying to prove here  Roll Eyes.

What if it's a sold account?  I'm reluctant to take anyone's word that they know the owner of an old account personally, no offense eddie13.  It's just that I'd rather hear it from the alleged victim himself and have some proof.  If you do really know this guy, why don't you suggest it to him?
Looks like a hacked and sold account according to eddie13 and there was no claim from anyone and there was no update from eddie13 either after starting the thread.

He mentioned, that he contacted the original owner and he said it is stolen. However no screenshots of correspondence or the official statement from mentioned owner was provided here in this thread.

I don't think I ever tried hard to convince him to come here and show proofs, but I am (was) confident Jim's original account was being controlled by someone else..

It was obvious to me that it wasn't Jim by the writing style, as mentioned in my left rating..
""when will legalization bitcoin? why this does not happen? are there any countries that have legalized bitcoin?
or already somehow now it is possible to legalize the income received from Bitcoin?"

Jim does not write in chinglish nor ask such stupid questions.."

I am also quite confident that this account is the real Jim..

My account on this site was stolen and never returned to me , hence this new account.
my email is admin@unbreakablecoin.com .

I think I last talked to Jim on Telegram about the time of youtucoin, iirc that is why I was on telegram..
I don't really "know him personally" but he is a bit of an oldschool crypto celebrity, the DEV of UNB, and was very active with the cryptsy guys back in the day.. I used to chat with him a lot back then.. I think it was Christmas time 2014 when he sent me a free kickass UNB T-shirt that I still have..

As far as I know the original account never denied the change in ownership, protested my rating or anything, and it hasn't logged in since 2018..
I think I told Jim he should come here and get it back but he was uninterested..

So you suggest I change my rating on the account because I don't have 100% proof even though it is uncontested? I think it is fine..

I could probably drag Jim into here to prove it but I think that would be annoying to him..

I don't really think it is necessary to go through all the hassle get more tags on the account.. Your actions here are correct TP..

How could our forum rules expert and a free speech fighter eddie13 do that ?

I don't claim to be an "expert" on all things, and this was over 2 years ago..
Is this the best you could find to complain about?

I think you are just taking a pot shot at me here but it is fine, I can take it and embrace the skepticism..
I don't think their is anything wrong with my tag.. It is unproven to all beyond any doubt, but also uncontested, and I would say very reasonable to assume that I am right..

Any more critiques or suggestions on this situation from anyone? TP or even mosprognoz?
What do you think I should do from here Mr. mosprognoz?

Is this not the point of all the trust abuse we all have to suffer under all for this specific kind of reason??? you splatter red first to prevent them from having the chance to do something wrong if there is any kind of serious doubt placed upon them.

If we are waiting for PROOF of financially motivated wrong doing or account HACKING. Then we end every war on this forum now.

Also, I was not DT back then so my tag was "untrusted" feedback anyway, so it mattered a lot less..

But I think my tag is still good enough as it is..
Anyone think I should take it down?

Feel free to dig my account some more Mr. mosprognoz and let me know about any inconsistencies you may find and I'll offer what I can for an explanation.. I think you would be far from the first, or the best, to do so, so bring it.. I think more worthy opponents than you have tried..

I think I could dig your account and find hundreds of inconsistencies based on all of the ones I have already found in your current posts, much less look at your old posts, which frankly I don't care enough to do, because you are insignificant to me..
I wouldn't draw any more attention to myself in relation to DT fitness if I were you, but hey, whatever floats your boat..

What if it's a sold account?

I believe that sold accounts should have a tag or warning attached to them, but this doesn't seem to be forum policy.

^^
The majority of account sales happen covertly and a strict policy to attach a tag or warning cannot be implemented, DT members do leave feedbacks for it when it is discovered and proven beyond doubt.

Suddenly everyone is worried about due process and integrity when it is eddie13 making a claim, but when the usual goon squad so much as farts in the direction of a user you people are falling all over each other to burn reputations down. You wonder why no one takes the local bitstasi seriously.

I would say valid non-DT feedback matters the same as valid DT feedback, the same goes for "bad" or bad feedbacks but the thing is non-DT feedbacks are "not visible" so not so many users are mentioning them.

Anyone think I should take it down?
"User creates account claiming that his old account was stolen and continue posting from new account while old account becomes inactive after that" is my opinion  Wink

Suddenly everyone is worried about due process and integrity when it is eddie13 making a claim

"Suddenly everyone is worried when eddie13, when me, when OG, when this, when that"

@Tec's hare, I have read this thread (unlike you) and I can't find where word "everyone" would fit in. Spam your repetitive redundant off topic nonsense somewhere else.

FWIW:
At the time that he became aware of the loss of access, Jim told me on the Bittrex slack as well.
