Question about mining various cryptocurrencies?

Is there a different hard drive/equipment needed to mine each currency?

As each one does have a different rate of processing as Bitcoin is a slower one vs Etherum

etc.

would there be a price difference in mining a lower end Currency for equipment and running times?
thanks

Google and read.  This is a pre-novice level question.

It really depends on what you want to mine. BTC is asics only as due to difficulty GPU mining is obsolete long time ago. Ether is probably bets with AMD saphire cards, but it is very hard to find them in the market cuz of demand. Zcash, HUSH, LUX, SUMO etc. works good with nvidia.
I personally do not mine top 10 coins for its insane difficulty. It is better to mine new altcoins and exchange them to the ones you want. It gives you as much as twice bigger profits.

It's very simple. If you want to mine bitcoins you have to purchase special equipment. It is very expensive. If you don't have a large amount of money to invest in the equipment then you can start mining altcoins with GPU. It seems to me that there is no reason to buy AMD is better RX to buy VEGA.
