The Securities Division of the North Carolina Department of Secretary of State issued on January 9 a temporary order to cease and desist to Bitconnect.

Earlier in January, the Texas Securities Board handed the investment platform a similar cease and desist order, barring the company from operating within the state. The British Registrar of Companies has also sent an official legal notice to BitConnect, warning to shut down the company and dissolve its operation.
Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

I think it should be banned all over the world.
It is a proved ponzi scheme.
Everyone should keep away themselves from Bitconnect.
It can exit anytime with people investment.

I'm paying close attention to what's happening with bitconnect right now, i strongly believe that they are getting ready to run away, specially after this new thing of BitConnectX ICO (starting at 50$ per token!!) ... seems like this is their last effort to gather more money before dissapearing

yes, the coin has no value it is pyramid system. Members pay members. It is money game. You'd better stay away from it. I think there are more ICOs or altcoins you can invest and make profit because the price will increase soon. 2018 will be the year of cryptos. It can be sweet or sour.

I hope the more countries will consider banning bitconnect as shit ponzi scheme ever. How that was actually disturbing the crypto community. But this is very good news. But there is a lot of problems because a lot of similar ponzi scheme just like bitconnect were appearing just like hextra or regal. All of them scam pnzi projects.

Michael Novogratz, Vitalik Buterin, Charlie Lee called it a ponzi scheme. Buterin explained:

"Their official videos are effectively promising 1% daily returns and touting this as the primary benefit of the project. Ethereum and bitcoin, on the other hand, are backed by a proven and consistent record of 200-700k daily txs and $100k-4m daily txfees."
