Well, how the hell can you be asking this? Bitcoin is much more important than ethereum, just look at their marketcaps, you can not even compare btc to ethereum because btc has more than x3 of the actual marketcap of ethereum.

Both are important but for different reasons. Bitcoin is essentially digital gold, but has some utility at the moment for payments, while Ether is useful for totally different purposes.

From what i see, both are important, bitcoin is becoming an asset already rather than just a currency, we can see it by looking at its value, though there are some people who sell their bitcoin in large quantities, still bitcoin is bitcoin, then for ethereum, we need ethereum for other transactions, personally for gas money, if you want to have altcoins, you need ethereum on hand. If etherium is compared to bitcoin in terms of value and importance then ETH is definitely way out of league. But both have its own designated places out there and both are equally important.
