There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

The guy has been around on the forum for ages. He's escrowed millions of dollars for users. He's 1 of the top trusted escrows on the forum. I think you are safe

It isn't self moderated and you should be able to gauge how well or not he has performed over the years. When in doubt, you can also pm past users from that thread. In my opinion, one of the best on the forum, albeit a tad slow sometimes.

@OP you can trace his past escrowed TX's there and after taking a peek on his escrow service thread that will give you a satisfying idea.

As yahoo said, he's been around here for years and also look at his trust, that's how the trust rating system works here in forum. Check out his past deals and history that's totally enough for you to trust him.

He's probably the most trusted around here now after a few of the escrows no longer offer their services or have left the forum. He's escrowed millions of dollars and Bitcoin and sets out a contract before any deal is started so that every one involved in the trade know what is required of each party.
