Think I will focus on building 2-3 high quality PR/PA/DA link to establish authority and prevent negative SEO
 And throw some social signals at the domain.

Also, the domain is in the "honeymoon" period (which is the first 3 months) so rankings can be very volatile and not stick.

Nothing to do with the security of the site, that basics. I mean this was a small botnet ddos. But its been fixed
