Hi Ameador1, Yes, I believe I can help you. You got the concept of escrow right : your customer send the funds to one of my escrow addresses (signed by my primary address starting with 1yogg (as in the 1st post of this thread)). Then I confirm the payment to you so you can send the hardware to the buyer. When the buyer confirms the reception of the items he ordered, I release the payment to you. Simple. It certainly helps to increase your trust and the legitimacy towards your business, since it shows that you are not interested into getting some coins fast and run away to never be seen again. The trust score is based off the Positive feedbacks you receive from other members of the board. In the long term if you are trusted enough, yes you could trade without a need for an escrow but that means people sending the coins to you before you ship : you understand this will happen only if you are very trusted. There is no exception for anyone and I will not charge a fee. However, I do appreciate tips very much. If you have any question, feel free to ask ! Regards, yogg What happens if the customer says they didn't get it or it was not what they thought it was or something to that effect? In other words, how do I keep protected from them trying to scam by not acknowledging receiving the item? That's why I was wondering if the item goes to you first, then to them. I am trying to get lined up to sell Antminer S9 units and related parts. They are so expensive right now for on hand units. I think there are as many scammers selling as there are scammers buying. I have had a friend sell the unit with a PSU - and clarified that it did not come with a power cord, but the customer was all upset that it did not come with a power cord which caused them lost earnings, etc... but refused to send the item back for a refund and still lodged a complaint with my friends selling platform (dhgate.com). Scammers can always find a way to argue some irrational point - or even just uneducated customers. I'm just interested in how things of this nature are handled- the safer for everyone the better. These are large ticket items - and I want smooth, easy, and protected sells - which in turn should make the buyers happy. Thanks!

Well, in this case an investigation is opened. In case of a dispute, both parties supply elements to help me decide what to do with the coins. We can also put another chain in place : you can send the miner to me so I reship to the buyer. When I receive the hardware, I send you the BTC and resend the parcel to the buyer. Tracked & insured if buyer wants it that way. If you think these terms are acceptable, you can conduct business in such a way. We can try with one item first, then you'll see. In this case, to do physical escrow, I will ask you for a fee. I want to help you make your business easier. Yes, there are many scammers, and associate ourselves to do business is a neat idea.

I assume you are located in the US? I see your location is "in the US". I would not want to have to export to in turn have you re-import items to the US.
I understand that you would want to charge a fee if I send the miner to you for you to pass along to the customer. Fair bit more work on your part. So you would ask the customer to pay you to cover shipping from you to them. You'de have to get the shipping rate based on your location to them. Makes sense.
Do you have an idea what amount you would want in that case? Say for a single miner and PSU? I mean, I assume it would really be on an individual basis - 1 miner, 3 miners, psu, etc... Would be more or less difficult and time-consuming to deal with - but just to give me an idea.
I appreciate your time answering my questions - other escrowers have been less than accommodating.
Thanks!

Hello eyesopen, Yes, sure. As long as the term of the transaction are clear, there is no problem. Feel free to PM me or post here when you have come to an agreement with a buyer. Good luck with your sales !

/!\ Update :As of today, I won't be escrowing transactions for free anymore. My rates are now 1% of the escrowed amount, or 0.002 BTC, whatever is higher. Thank you for your comprehension. I wish you all to deal carefully, and be successful in your trades !

Hey,
I am trying to sell 37 BTC to a trader. I want to make sure that I won't be scammed. He offered an escrow service that just didn't seem right to me (website started up only 8 weeks ago, no reviews, no proper info).
I am willing to pay the fee for the added security.
Would you be interested in this transaction?
Best regards,
W.

Hello W, Yes, I can help you here. You were right to reject the suspicious escrow website that claims to hold onto your coins for you. Can you please tell me the buyer's username, so I can setup the transaction ? More details will be explained within the PMs I'll be sending to both of you, and in the mean time, if you have any question, feel free to ask. You can chose if you want to publicly disclose some of the transaction details, or keep it private. Best regards, yogg

I am available for escrow. Hello yogg! I wrote you a personal message, but it remained unanswered. And the question is very important! In the current situation, I can not even use your services, as people are confused by the Trust .... not to mention more.
