I never believed in bitcoin cash because of their seemingly for profit and monopolization/centralization model. However, greed got to me and I got tricked into buying BCH for the first time last week, all thanks to the /r/BTC subreddit. With bitcoin now at $8800 I got burned badly and I now hate bitcoin cash immensely. Its my fault.
But you should now that they talk shit about bitcoin over there relentlessly. I don't exactly why i am sharing this but i get angry whenever i think about /r/btc.
They are fooling people into think bitcoin core is something evil. Something must be done.
If you never believed in bitcoin cash, then why invest in it in the first place when you had the opportunity to hold the free tokens you get when the split happened ,when it comes to investment you must have your own process rather than trusting someone online about what to invest,to be frank i did not expect the price of bitcoin rising like this ,but the price keeps on changing and moving higher every time without any major correction ,i expect some corrections down the line and i hope everyone will get an opportunity to invest. Like we care about everything people say in other places Cheesy If they are talking sh*t about Core, We're talking bad sh*t about them here Cheesy I'm making fun of BIG Wu (little actually) all the time, It's fair if they are doing the same, If people want to believe something, They should believe in the price, Nothing could be more effective than bitcoin price.

Subreddits are sometimes found which deriving pleasure from another individual's pain (not empathizing for the loss) or at least that's what I think it is. I have lurked around in /r/BTC and a good chunk of the discussions over there are just bashing Bitcoin without understands its real world applications. Why would you take advise on a discussion board with the larger group of posts being trolls/bashes. Its supposed to a Bitcoin subreddit and magical advise on how Bitcoin Cash is better than Bitcoin pops up and you're not sketchy at all? Sorry to be blunt but it is your own responsibility to do prior research before going with advise of some random internet trolls.

While I do agree with the general sentiment in this thread, the /r/btc subreddit does have one valid point: /r/bitcoin is censoring tons of threads and I'm not sure why that is so.

Thus, I suspect that's part of the reason lots of people migrated to BCH and that subreddit.

Aw, i feel sorry for you, there there buddy.
It is indeed, that some coins have their own group or cult, and some of the leader only using their men to fool other and make them self richer, as they build more community. It is hard to get out or realize you are in the wrong place when you already believe in them, until you found out the truth, as in you, you already found the truth, and you pay a lot for it.
I dont know how hard it is, but i suggest you to be calm, accept it, and move on, because you can and you will make more money than what you lose today.
The best thing to do is for now, just be neutral, learn a lot from multiple source, dont get in to some group too deep unless you really trust them, dont be greedy, and last, just spend what you can afford to lose based on your calculation. You are the decision maker of all your investment.
By the way, reddit is sucks, you can not take many valuable things in there except the meme and porn.

It's not a recommended place anymore, and you should know also that r/BTC is not the only place where BTC get these attacks also on this Forum ( disrespectful members), on facebook , on twitter and we cannot stop it, we should focus our energy to Bitcoin alone. Reddit is not the only place, we should counter attack them by posting articles about Bitcoin.
