Yes, but it is very unlikely, difficult and expensive - it depends also on type of the network: permisionless (public blockchain) - it is extremely hard, it requires to take control over most of nodes (almost impossible), but some big countries may be able to do it… - question of cost effectiveness permissioned (private or consortium blockchain) - it depends on the security of the private/consortium network, it is easier because there is much less nodes to hack and they are easier to track That is a good answer I found.

I guess it's nearly impossible to hack the Bitcoin network and steal Bitcoins. You will need to find the private key for a particular public address. The possibilities are limitless.

Bitcoin technology-Protocol and cryptography — has a time — tested high level of security, and the Bitcoin network is probably the largest distributed computing project in the world. The biggest vulnerability in Bitcoin is the user's own mistakes. Bitcoin wallet files that store the necessary private keys can be accidentally deleted, lost or stolen. This is very similar to physical cash stored in electronic form. Fortunately, users can use best security practices to protect their money or use services that provide a good level of protection and insurance against theft and loss.

Someone can hack wallet but no one has been able to hack bitcoin because it can’t be hacked as there is no single point of failure, and hacking bitcoin would be useless.

Bitcoin has a very tight security protocols as well as the other cryptocurruncies. The accounts are only available to manage if you know the keys for it. This password is pretty much what holds up the information or the currency itself. So to keep your keys from being hacked, always validate first the sites you are surfing with and have a good computer security program.

What I've read is that the bitcoin blockchain itself cannot be hacked with current technology. To attack the network you should manage to do a 50% + 1 attack and is a fact that, until now in this 9 years of bitcoin existence, no one managed to attack the network. Someone says that when quantum computers will be a reality there could be a risk, but probably by that time also bitcoin blockchain will be different from how it is now.

Well hacker's are everywhere. So if you are one of the holders of bitcoin you should take care of it. You must save it in a reliable wallet and be knowledgeable.

There is a possibility since all things in this world can be manipulated and invade by some talented hackers but the company of bitcoin always provide a security in order to block or prevent this threat to happen.

Yes of course bitcoin can be hacked, mine was once stolen by a bitcoin ponzi site. I learned my lesson the bitter way and secured my block chain account very well after changing my password and wallet address.

the concept of Bitcoin’s blockchain is simple - it is a distributed ledger that is located in multiple places simultaneously. It means that, if someone wants to hack Bitcoin, he has to attack the majority of ledgers at the same time, which is almost impossible.
However, it doesn’t mean that hackers don’t steal Bitcoins - they do it, but not because blockchain is the problem. The problem may be in the exchanges, wallets, and other players that operate with Bitcoins. For example, if hackers attack a website, it does not mean they attack the Internet.

Everything is prone to being hacked online. That is why we users of bitcoin should be vigilant and aware of how we should protect our valuables. Even if bitcoin is difficult to being hacked by people being vulnerable to hacking is not impossible. You could teach yourself methods and ways on how you could protect your bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies.

CloudFish developed a security platform that enables companies and individual users to secure their assets stored in the cloud using blockchain technology. Instead of relying on a single private key stored on a server that can be hacked or stolen, CloudFish developed a unique technology that splits the users’ private security key into millions of fragments and store it in blockchain thereby making it impossible for someone to steal or hack the key. The dynamic construction of encryption keys using blockchain provides a fool-proof mechanism to secure the digital assets like documents, files, emails etc. and crypto-currency keys stored in the cloud. Please check out our web site for details about the key innovation we are bringing to the cloud security industry www.cloud-fish.io

I dont think bitcoin can be hacked. Its possible but it would take too much resources and I think there’s no point in hacking bitcoin too. See, bitcoins price mostly depends on demand and supply high demand low supply means higher price. If bitcoin is hacked, people would stay away from it because it is not a good investment. Why would people invest their money in something that they can lose easily. No people, kills the demand for it. Killing bitcoin wouldn’t be beneficial for them.

Yes. Your account in bitcoin can be hack if you wouldn't secure your personal information to it including your password or private key. Bitcoin can be transfer in to other account if someone destroy or use your account without knowing it. So it is important to keep your password as secret.

The weakest link in bitcoin's security model is you. If you get robbed, hacked, hit with a rubber hose until you give up your private keys, etc, you're the easiest point of failure for an attacker to get your coins. There is virtually no chance that bitcoin will be "hacked" in the sense that the network will permit people to steal your coins. It relies on some pretty strong cryptography; if you want proofs, you'll want a CS or math degree to understand fully.

Yes, Bitcoin is hackable but the costs of the amount of energy necessary to hack just one wallet is multiple times bigger that the richer wallet right now. I have heard that in the future with quantum computers it would be easier but I do not know nothing about it.

It is a small theoretical chance the cryptography behind Bitcoin can be broken at some point in the future. Previously broken cryptos had been attacked/weakened severely before broken, so I am confident we have time to adjust before any problems. In addition, if ECDSA or SHA is taken down there is a lot bigger fish than bitcoin they will attack before us.
