Almost all games now have endings that are purely designed for a sequel, they'll never end them, they always have poorly thought out cliff hangers in just to keep things going.
Haha a major factor in me being pissed off was possibly due to my PS3 semi-dying 85% through the game and a month before I got around to getting it fixed from the spare PS3 parts I had lying around. (and a month of my girlfriend bugging me to get it fixed)
