Ehhhhh, I think giving him a Nobel Peace Prize is stretching it. Because he didn't stop any wars using Bitcoin, now did he?

You know Nobel Prizes can not be taken seriously when people who start and fuel wars can be nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize.  More over, Bitcoin or Satoshi will likely never be a candidate for it because it was always against the Rich, the Wealthy and the State.  Good luck winning prizes with that going on.

7 years ago, they gave the prize to Abiy Ahmed (Ethiopia's prime minister). Now he's trying to provoke a war with neighboring Eritrea.

To be honest, the other candidate (Greta Thunerberg) did not really fit the criteria either.

In terms of how Nobel prizes are characterized and awarded, I believe that the technology behind them is the key factor in their recognition as notable inventions. Unfortunately, based on the nominations and selections, Nobel Prizes cannot be awarded to anonymous individuals.

For technology innovations, there are winners like AlphaFold, which uses an AI system to predict protein structures, among others. There could be a possibility, but sadly, he cannot.

I don't think the Peace Prize is applicable to Bitcoin IMO. Just like the other members' sentiments.

In the words of Satoshi. "I've been working on a new electronic cash system that's fully peer-to-peer, with no trusted third party."

The question now is: Are we using Bitcoin for what it was intended? Or we just going to wait Digital Gold to moon.

He does deserve Nobel for the invention but its disappointing there were no guardrails to prevent the silly speculation going on now

You can create something good that it can overwhelm people that they will put it in another food use. Bitcoin used to be electronic peer to peer which today it is still the same use, but the digital asset is more than the every day to day use. If you have own one Bitcoin since 2009 till now, I believe you will understand better. I don't think there is anything bad for Bitcoin to be used as store of value as long as it doesn't violate any rules about it been used like you said.

Any government, institutional investors and many people that got entangled to Bitcoin today didn't like it because it can be used to send value from one place to another. It's because of the use case as a store of value that's why they used billions of dollars to invest in it. If today Bitcoin doesn't have the store of value that it's having today, I'm sure that even you will not be here to talk about Bitcoin but it's because it's having value that's why we are all high to discuss about the presence, the past and the future.
