What will happen with Blockchain technology in the next 50 years?
This is quite exciting to imagine or think. Where will the digital economy will be in the next 50 years. That's a long timeline to think where. And it's actually a question of what and how. What will be happening that time that may affect blockchain techonology for it's best and how it wil be better adopt by people world wide. All I can say for now is that blockchain technology is doing well of introducing itself to people. The way bitcoin impacted the society and also how other altcoins is now being embraced by people. Maybe 5 to 10 years from now, these will continue to expand, we don't know. 50 years from now, digital currencies might be the new currency of that era. Might be also fiat money has extinguished in course of history.

What will happen with Blockchain technology in the next 50 years?

Everyday that we live and still realize blockchain is yet to fail, it shows the future is something to behold. It might look unattainable because of the myriad of challenges happening all over but the world is gradually changing where Central Banks are exploring new ways of making money available rather than the physical cash we all know.

This shows that as time goes on they would surely consider digital money but the fear is if they would allow bitcoin as against their own form of currency which won't be any different than what we have now.

What will happen with Blockchain technology in the next 50 years?

Lol, a side note: you're the guy who sold Spotify premium that stopped working right after. I didn't know any better because that was the first time I was posting on these forums and understand this whole new marketplace. I hope you were able to refund everyone.

In the next 50 years, BTC may be adopted. It may be dropped. There may be a new alt in it's place. We have no clue what it will look like in the next 50 years, if not the next 10. It's volatility makes it hard to predict where it runs. For now, I believe blockchain could be the future for the next decade or so.

But how do you define a blockchain? Is it a digital ledger secured by Proof of Work, completely permissionless and decentralized? Or is it something else like what the ICOs are doing? There is a big difference.

We must first know what a blockchain really is to predict its future, because in some definitions, anything can be a blockchain.

Digital money is leading us to the future that we don't use paper money for our payment anymore but it's gonna be a long road.

Blockchain technology could be considered as the crown of the current digital era. A digital ledger keeping account of every single transaction happening and using computer power for the proof of it just pushed the governments around the world to open their eyes and look at digitisation from another perspective.
With many banks from different countries across the globe implementing blockchain technology for some of their functions, this lays foundation for research and development through which we could maybe achieve even more of an efficient system in the coming years.

What will happen with Blockchain technology in the next 50 years?

I've read many codes throughout the years and have seen different Blockchains start and stop from lack of use. And from those I've seen survive I've seen evolve over time. The next 50 years will be an act of Moore's Law of accelerated returns, an evolution of Blockchain through the addition of new technology
added to the code, just like the Internet of the 90's Blockchain will also Fail to scale and it will scale again with the addition of that which has not even been invented yet.

This is a very exciting time to be a live.

We dont even know what is going to happen tomorrow, and you want us to tell you when bitcoin and digital currencies like bitcoin are going to take over all the system?
Digital currencies will take over the economy one day. However that day may be long from today and it will also need a lot of work from the governments. Not necessarily legalizing crypto but they must understand that fiat has got nowhere to go.

Quote
It is impossible, maybe not at this moment, but we all are going to see a huge advance about money and how does it works in a few months from now, or maybe in years.
Huge advances in money may not be the right way to describe it, rather huge advances in economies is what is going to happen.

Quote
But yes, the whole system is changing right now, and a lot of banks are now adapting themselves to bitcoin and all the other cryptocurrencies, because it is needed.
Where exactly did you get this news from? There are many crypto banks that are emerging but traditional banks are still a long way from accepting blockchain technology.

What will happen with Blockchain technology in the next 50 years?
No one knows what will happen to the Blockchain technology in the next 50 years because we are all just predicting what might happen in the future. It's just like predicting what would be the price by the end of this year and this coming year 2018 which is common to us to spread rumours from the article that we read.

I think no more than 10 year MAX, Fiat currency is failing and digital must replace it. Ethereum , NEO etc can create the new economic system via Tokens, a token economy is near.

It will take us to more years to celebrate with the digital currency having a huge increase of value on it. 50 years would be much improvement happend. Many innovation of platform would developed and also with the blockchain.

I heard someone saying that blockchain will do for payments what email did for communication, I believe that this is 100% true.
Being totally transparent and offering the possibility to create smart contracts, Blockchain will change the financial world and it is definitely not a fad.
I found this article speaking about blockchain future: https://www.shapingtomorrow.com/home/alert/665529-Future-of--Blockchain
The author believe that central banks will adopt blockchain technology.

Cashless transactions are also moving us forward to have the fiat without in our hand and moving the payments with the third party payment widgets. This is how corporates plans to steel our money in different way. Even every retail merchants will be find many issues with this move.
But bitcoin erase these corporates plan with its technology. None of the middle man don't need when we are transfering the money to one place to another. Even you do it with your country or international transactions both will goes with the same fees. This is how bitcoin turns the economy best in the world.

What will happen with Blockchain technology in the next 50 years?

Well being inside of the digital currency maybe for the next few years will be productive if the government as well as the users can maintain the balance , what I am trying is balance in using it and the preservation of the transaction with cash or paper money, cause we cannot surVive if cashless society will be implemented.

What will happen with Blockchain technology in the next 50 years?
If I had an ability to go time travel to see what happen in the future I do.lol.
We don't know exactly what will happen in the future about blockchain maybe at that time many modern technologies emerged using by internet connection and blockchain will commonly used by the people. But who knows this is only my  prediction about blockchain.

I think government will try to take over bitcoin since their popularity getting high from time to time.

In this digital era, everything will change into digital transaction and IMO , bitcoin is the best currency that fit and proper for being use as transaction just like fiat !

What will happen with Blockchain technology in the next 50 years?
This kind of circumstances is very hard to predict. It's really exciting but quite thrilling part.  A lot of people prophesied telling that bitcoin will become the next digital money. Who knows, maybe.
But I do hope more countries will be joining us and legalized bitcoin so more people can reap all the benefits from bitcoin.
