Yep. There's absolutely no point for them to sell GPUs and PSUs for lower prices considering the high demand from miners. They're just trying to move the least attractive items by giving $5 discount on them and calling it a "deal".

Agree with both of you guys, but I have a friend who finally decided to build a rig. 20$ here, 10$ there when you put a whole rig together he saved about 300$ (in rebates) from regular price which is another GPU. Lets face it, there will be no blowout deals nor will GPU prices go down by a significant amount any time soon.

EVGA G2 850 would be a good deal at that price, but the GQ line uses one of those junk "fancy name" sleeve bearing fans instead of a good Ball Bearing fan like the G2 series uses.

I checked over the mining gear selection at New Egg and a few other places and would have to agree that the black friday - cyber monday prices are nothing special. Most of the mining type gear seems to be selling at a premium versus earlier in the spring.

You guys are lucky in US, all your "premiums" are nothing compared to many other parts of the world. Grin I've just ordered a GTX 1080 (although a good one, but still aircooled) for ~ $645, and that's the best price I could get it for, got the last one. The cheapest 1060/3 start ~ $260 here, and decent 1060/6 are all $320+. GTX 1070s are all above $500 (with the exception of some crappy reference cards), and 1070 Ti are mostly around $580-620. Decent RX 580/8 are usually $380+. And as far as I know it's like this all over Europe. So we'd take your "premiums" any day of the week. Smiley

Where are you located? What is the import tax there if to order from US?

For most of the Europe the import taxes are too high for this kind of items (priced at more than ~10-30 euro), so it's not worth it to order from US. I do buy GPUs from US sometimes, but waiting (and paying) for shipping + no local warranty makes it all a questionable venture. Even if it gets here in two weeks (and affordable shipping might take more) it's 2 weeks of mining lost (compared to buying from a local store), which is at least $40 with something like gtx 1080. I'd also have to pay at least $30 for the shipping of a single GPU across the ocean. And the rest of the difference in price is what I pay for having the local warranty.
