According to the Blog at BFL my September 5th order of 8 jalapeno's (the upgrade pack) should have shipped no later then Tuesday the 18th.

Then  Wednesday the 19ths blog pops up saying it may be Wednesday that they shipped all of them for sure.

This must have been correct at least partially as on Thursday the 20th Joday said they shipped all but a few of the 7ths orders for Jalapenos.

My units should have shipped Wednesday the 19th at the latest.... but they didn't even get made. I wasn't worried about the lack of tracking as I don't remember the FPGA actually having one and it showed up quickly. Saturday ,my address is listed as a 3 day delivery by USPS, the units should have arrived. Monday at the latest if they fudge their shipment day as the day its in a box with a label not the day the carrier picks them up.

Now I shouldn't have trusted a Blog. I know virtually nothing posted online is properly peer reviewed and fact checked. Half jokingly it's not like BFL falls under the same scrutiny as the FDA. That is my fault. I accept that I should have known to stir up trouble a week before my unit should have shipped when it wasn't switched to Production. I didn't really know it took at least a week in production to get them shipped. Likely this is also my fault. If I had known I would have tried something sooner.

Saturday night or early Sunday morning as it was 2:44 AM my time I sent an email asking for tracking numbers, what day my order actually shipped and when the account page would show correctly that my order shipped. Included was the order #.

Sunday No reply.

Monday No reply. I called. I got a phone person. He wasn't super helpful. He did get my order in the que so I guess he was more helpful then BFL's shipping and order systems. He said that BFL was eating the extra shipping as my units wont fit in a box and I should be happy with that. At this point my orders are 6-7 days overdue. Yeah I am happy. He assured me that the order would switch to Production (like its supposed to) in an hour. It didn't. Also it was mentioned that my units would definately be to me this week.

Tuesday I got an email.
CONTENTS: "We have had a glitch concerning the Jalapeno Upgrades, but it seems to be resolved now. Your order has gone to production. When we have more Jalapenos we will ship yours. Jody"
I am posting my personal correspondence. This is not illegal. This was sent to me and has no disclaimer about being privileged or private information.
The last sentence seems to indicate that when 8 are ready I will get mine shipped. Not when the end of the que came up but when they have more. More not Your.

Wednesday no one answered the phone. I left a Voicemail. Still no reply Friday the 28th (3 days later). Apparently Email was faster then voicemail.

Thursday I called. I got the rep from Monday. He said he would check when my orders would ship. I heard someone shriek at him that "they would ship today". He assured me they would ship Thursday. They didn't. Now at this point I am down 8 days of mining income. Don't believe me? the math pretty well writes itself. Thursdays date(27) - the last possible shipment date for the 5th (19) = 8.

Friday Still not shipped as of 3:45 their time(BFL). Earlier today I posted a message asking for help figuring out who I could call that would be able to clear this up. The thread moderator or another mod deleted my post and likely any others replying to it. Thanks for the help.

So I am starting a new topic.

I would like anyone with helpful suggestions on who to talk to to get my order that gets days later while other orders keep shipping shipped. There are now 5 more days of orders out before mine. ALL post dating mine. I have tried being nice. I have tried asking nicely. I have tried to be patient. I am not complaining about the delays before shipping. I actually stood up for BFL because they seemed to genuinely want to make a better product and it took longer. I am not complaining because days of peoples orders are leaving before mine directly. I am complaining because instead of pulling 8 units that where done Monday or Tuesday (when they knew about the problem) they set my order to the back of the que and let it stay there. I ordered earlier. I was told mine shipped earlier. I have been lied to repetedly about my order.

The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

BFL has their own forums you can post to and I found them to be very responsive before I got my Jalapeno.  Jody is good with updates.  Register on their boards and look up BFL_Josh.  Send him a message, or post on his blog and ask him for his help.

BFL has their own forums you can post to and I found them to be very responsive before I got my Jalapeno.  Jody is good with updates.  Register on their boards and look up BFL_Josh.  Send him a message, or post on his blog and ask him for his help. 

So far Jody hasn't helped me. She assured me my orders would ship when units where available. Not after 5 days of other orders. Since either the two lovely mods here or BFL_Josh deleted my previous request I am not sure how helpful he will be. They are great ideas. I do thank you for your suggestion but as they have both been notified I am not sure moseying on over to BFL's forum where in theory they can delete my posts even faster will help me more.

The best advice I can give is take this to forums.butterflylabs.com and hope.
People who bring up BFL issues here get shit on by Josh.

So when I start a thread at BFL how long before it shows up? I have now tried that. No idea why it isn't showing up. Nm Apparently I missed the it has to be approved before it posts. Thanks BFL another hour down. Another day likely lost. So its either 10 or 11 days depending on how I view the shipping day that I have now been delayed. I am betting day 6 post my order starts jumping over mine. Damn it feels good to be glitched and ignored.

At least Jody is nice enough to tell me when more orders get the jump on me. She won't send mine out, She won't get someone to pull some so at least mine ships closer to the expected day. But thankfully the chicken saga goes on and more days of orders trump mine.

6PM in KC. Still in production. Fantastic. Another day gone. I wonder who else gets to jump me. I hate how this has gone. This wasn't my fault. This wasn't my mistake. This wasn't my people that didn't do their jobs. It is my units that don't get shipped. It is my days of ok profit that get wasted by people that paid after me. I really really really don't see how you could look at what I said and get order complaint.
I guess "Bitcoin Forum > Economy > Marketplace > Goods > Computer hardware > Some BFL order complaints" makes sense. Only I wouldn't call it an order complaint. Its a shipping complaint. I wouldn't call it computer hardware it's an ASIC. Custom hardware by the MoDs here. And I really don't see Market Place or economy being appropriate either. Nice try burying it though.
My order got lost. Then I got put at the back of the line. Then I got jumped it seems out of the que. This isn't an order complaint. This is a systematic disregard for my paid for property and it ever shipping. The person whom started the thread I posted it in is the COO of BFL. Now no idea why its so bad to post a question about who to talk to about a series of intentional misrepresentations and intentional delays for my order only in a thread that the one person I know and have dealt with at BFL for longer then BFL is such a bad thing. He actually checks that thread. Apparently too well.
So yeah I hoped for more then hiding my post. Maybe an I will check into it. At least a BFL doesn't help people.

My hope is your problem is resolved in a professional and timely manner.

Not sure how effective posting in either this forum or their forum will help but you have tried. Maybe try talking with others who have had the same problems and discuss wtih them privately in PM how they had their problem resolved.

Well so far Dave at BFL has lied every time I talk to him. Oh it will ship really soon the que is short. Absolutely you will receive your unit this week. Definitely will ship out Yesterday.

Jody says they cleared up the missed orders on the 26th but mine is still not shipped or made it seems.

It seems like the people that have dealt with this have by in large gone the refund or never order again route. I can't really cancel this order. I have a trade in and this is the only way I can trade it in. The other option to never order again might hold some water.

Well I don't know when the last sort in KC happens but I am betting at 8:30 its either over or will be soon. My order is still in "Production". Why wouldn't it be. I was hoping Monday when Dave said I would have them this week that this would be handled quickly. So far the only one that had been professional about it was me. I am tired of being skipped. 10 days (it wont leave KC tonight) is a bit long. I doubt it will actually get shipped Saturday either. Sunday is a no go. Monday that is 14 days after it should have shipped. Missing 10 months delay by 4 days. Am I betting on only a 2 week delay for their mistake? No. Am I going to keep asking if I can get anything done? Yes. I expect more delays and excuses. I expect more days of later orders to get out the door. I expect it will ship only when they are good and ready to ship mine. Maybe they are collecting duds to send me..... 5+-10% means I could get 8 4.5 units 36GH and 2 weeks late, or ship me bricked ones. Wow I suppose they could make it worse.

Anyone worried about reprisals from BFL PM me I won't tell them. Just curious if you got it fixed and who if anyone actually would help or might help.

There must be a problem. According to this thread it takes 3 days to Produce and ship 5 single SC's.

My hope is your problem is resolved in a professional and timely manner.

Not sure how effective posting in either this forum or their forum will help but you have tried. Maybe try talking with others who have had the same problems and discuss wtih them privately in PM how they had their problem resolved.
It can be effective.  Companies respond to public pressure.  It's great for him to post his story here anyway, if nobody does that we won't know what they are up to.

Yeah I noticed he wasn't roaming around the forum so much anymore. Sadly this started as an OT post in the EclipseMC pool thread. I know he watches that one like a hawk. It got modded into the abyss. Hopefully he responds to the one at BFL forum or here. I really don't hold much hope for either soon as they are closed at BFL and I doubt he likes going to answer questions in his off hours. I was so excited on the 18th. It didn't take long to get to a helpless rage.

ironically in a few months when I talk about this it will be funny not upsetting rage inducing just a huge joke. Until then I really wanna yell hulk smash.....

See I get that in part. What I don't get is that starting Tuesday they shipped units knowing those units would skip mine in order. Wednesday they shipped more units that got to skip my lower # order. Thursday I am sure it was Jody that screamed at poor Dave when he asked about my order. Ironically He was screamed at that "that order would ship today". Now Why would my order be Shipped Today, and in Production tomorrow unshipped while more orders after mine get made, tested and get to hop the line. My order was the front of the line on the 18th. Why is it the back of the line on the 24th. Worse its still the back of the line on the 28th.

Lets say you where at an event. Call it the Fair. There is a line for the rides. You are in the front of the line. The next car doesn't have room for your party. The operator lets a single skip to fill the cart. In the long run it helps everyone. If that fair operator let everyone skip you I bet you wouldn't stand at the front of the line all day wondering why you don't get to ride. You would likely complain LOUDLY to someone with the power to do something about the injustice.

My problem isn't the likely chip "Rationing". It's knowing who to bribe to get back to my spot in line. So far I haven't found the right R.O. to talk to.

EDIT: Actually after a moment of thought it makes perfect sense. They already claimed mine is shipped. They can ship everyone else's and get farther into the que. If they actually ship mine they won't get another day done or might not. How would people know its ok to keep preordering if they can't clear off the que fast enough.....

So something shipped from KC. Sadly because of the lack of a tracking number I missed the delivery. I only have a city and state it shipped from. Not a shipper/weight or much useful. Name isn't really a help as the signature required card only listed last name.

The package was sorted early Friday. Whatever it is. It made it to my town for delivery Saturday.

My order page still shows Production though.

I will add more info Monday when I actually accept delivery. It could be something for another family member. I haven't heard of anything they ordered but its possible too.

EDIT: Units did show up Monday. No Power supply cable I guess that was a reviewer extra bonus part. Out of 8 of the best power supplies they could send me one made it less then 2 hours. The rest seem OK...

Units hashing anywhere from 4.8-5.6Ghash/s. All have old firmware on them and one has a matched set of chips. The rest would benefit slightly from one job per chip. I now just need a programmer and some advanced knowledge about warranty repairs after firmware upgrades. That and what the warranty does for failed PS.
