Electroneum is also a fun one to mine. I'm currently mining it with my extra CPU cores. I've also heard good things about Aeon |

If you're looking to use both the CPU and GPU to mine I'd say XMR and ETH or ETN for now. As with cased computers make sure all components are getting properly cooled. Dust can increase temps inside by a lot.

If your home PC has a strong CPU, you could consider to mine XMR, and Burst coin. Burst coin is Proof of Capacity so you need some large capacity HDDs or external storages, I suggest at least 15Tb.
